Title: Pulp Robot Comparison
Post by: Auton on 12 December 2007, 10:09:11 AM
Just finished painting a few pulp robots from different manufacturers and thought a comparison shot might be of interest.

First is Rattrap's robot, next one of Killer-B's Mechamen and finally one of Hydra Miniatures legionnaires.

Nice! Would it be possible to put a human fig in there as well, as I can't tell comparative sizes.

The Rattrap one looks quite dinky there, but I guess the others could actually be really huge.

Excellent painting though. Really like the stormtrooper/cylon look of the middle one.  8)

The Rattrap one looks cute next to those other, obviously evil, robots.

Previously I thought he looked evil himself. So all it takes to appear less evil is to hang around with people more evil than you, apparently.

I shall have to remember that, next time I'm trying to avoid the Old Bill.

The Rattrap one is quite small, I guess it only comes up to the shoulders on most figures, but seeing as it has no 'head' that's hardly surprising!

I did think about a human figure for size afterwards. I'll try and sort out another shot, if it helps for now, these are based on the same size of bases (UK 2p's)

Cheers Auton, that does help. The flying base on the Killer B one makes him look bigger than he really is as well, I think.

Yes the flight base does make the Mechaman look imposing!
