Curious what the received opinion is on this guy. The Belgians are seen as big villains in the Congo, and I suppose that is correct, but Dhanis seems to have got kudos with the native civilians by not allowing his troops to abuse them in the War in the Eastern Congo, and according to one online version I've seen, a lot of his work was about stopping cannibalism, though the site I got this from is very pro-Royalist Belgian.
Just interested in thoughts, anecdotes, or, of course, good, old fashioned unbridled flame wars. ;)

Well, no point saying I wasn't trolling; accused is convicted on that score. However, if others think so, or the mod wanted to remove the thread, I wouldn't object.
