Post by: sandsmodels on 29 December 2011, 01:24:11 PM
this year i was determined to actualy have a week off from the toils of running s&s models and actualy do some of my own models and get some more terrain for the escape committee clubs urban ruined city, finnished off and here is the results of the first one,
(http://i513.photobucket.com/albums/t339/sandsmodels/building%20parts/DSCN2774.jpg)
the build was started about 1 year ago and did not get very far, but has since been speeded up a bit,
the base board is a 3mm mdf sheet of 470x470mm square,
and this is how it started:-

and when painted and washed it ended up like this:-

and the inside:-

painting was surprisingly quite easy, roof car spray primer grey with some yellow for lichen,
walls were b&q sand emulsion with a gw sepia wash, inside was a matt black coat and a bit of dry brushing.
with the exception of the oil tank, extractor fan silo and a few odd bits, all of the parts will soon be available to buy as part of the new
s&s models 20mm industrial building parts range, so not a week off realy
as usual more pics here:-

and more new industrial terrain to follow,
thanks
