Here are my dwarfs for gaming with the Song of Blades and Heroes.

Cool stuff man :)
Have you tried using an off white such as vallejo ivory for the eyes? it is less harsh and helps to counteract the "attention" that pure (titanium) white lends to them.

Thanks, no I haven't used it, I even didn't know of its existence :(.

nice conversion on the warhammer quest dwarf. I have one and I think his axe is really too much, better to change it with a proper size weapon. ;)
How many dwarfs you need for a decent SOBH match? Wich roles? I've never played SOBH...
cheers

The best part of it is that the rules are REALLY simple and versatile. Thus, for a simple game you just need 6-10 models. If you like to play a full campaign, you shall need like 20 models, since you may like to recruit specific types, and you will obviously loose some fellas during the fight.
I Really encourage to play this game, even if the rules are somehow bugged, you may fix them really fast! =)
(Faber, PM on the way!)

Very nice, MP.
SOBH is a great game and, having a few dwarfs in the lead pile, you've just sparked off another project idea ::)
As for the eye 'white', you're already neater at doing eyes than I am (never seem to get it right :?), but stirring a tiny drop of the colour you used to highlight the first dwarf's beard into your white before doing the eyes might get the effect that generulpoleaxe was suggesting without you needing to get extra colours. They look pretty good to me anyway :)

You've created a FINE LOOKING Vertically Challenged Gang of Grumps...WELL DONE!
I rather like the way you did your eyes.

thanks :) and PM replied Jack! I have 9 oldschool dwarfs on my workbench and other 11 from ebay so I think I have enough.
About eyes, my method is: 1) black on the entire eye 2) white on the entire eye but leaving a black line all around 3) black line/dot on the center of the white area. The point n2 is the most important part to obtain a good shaped eye IMO.

re-replied, faber! ;)
Anyway, as i said, i suggest you to make an 'extended' warband, in order to vary it as you please when you will have some warband improvements! ;)

Excellent stuff - one can never have enough Dwarfs in my opinion. In agreement with other posters here, SoBH is a fantastic gaming system. I played a few games of Songs the weekend just gone, in one of which I played a Dwarf warband. Unfortunately they got their asses kicked by bunnies and squirrels.! They are actually a good, solid army, but my rolls and tactics were not too clever this time around.

Excellent work :) Love the subtlety of the skin.
