Title: 28mm Three Musketeers
Post by: The Gray Ghost on 26 January 2012, 03:41:18 AM
other than Brigade Games and Blue Moon are there any 28mm Three Musketeers figures out there?
Redoubt is I think 40mm

Redoubt are meant to be 28mm - except they are actually about 35mm. They are huge! But not 40mm. Interestingly, the resin scenic and accessory sets by Frontline, designed to accompany the Redoubt range, work very well with any 28mm figures...

Also Black Hat, but I'd recommend any of the other ranges mentioned so far first: these are chubby little figures with huge heads.

Eureka 40mm. Beautiful figures, based on the Richard Lester movies from the 1970s. :-*

You can supplement them with some 28mm ECW and TYW figures. Especially characters and command figures and civilians, clubbers, etc... work well.

I went with Redoubt, as they have quite a large ECW collection.
I wish  I had gone with Brigade  :(

I've longed to game the musketeers but never found 28mm figures I liked, is it just me?

I chose the Black Hat figures, dubious anatomy and all. They are lovely little caricatures. If you like Dixon Samurai you will like these. If not then stay well clear.

These are some of mine: http://displacedminiatures.com/robh/gallery/2158/ (http://displacedminiatures.com/robh/gallery/2158/)

You will not find anything to mix with them though, so it is down to conversions if you want more poses or different weapons.

Beautifully painted.
But they really are the ultimate munchkins.
But kinda charming and characterful, i do agree. But then i've got a soft spot for hobbits  :)

I've posted this in another thread on this board some time ago, but I thought it could be useful:

Left to right: Brigade Games Musketeer - Perry ECW - TAG ECW - Old Glory ECW - Eureka ECW

The Brigade Games looks the tallest, but others from the same pack are a bit shorter.
The Old Glory one is the shortest. For me, they are all well within tolerated fluctuation parameters.

And the ladies, left to right: 7th Sea - Brigade Games - DSA (Ral Partha Europe)
