I plan on being there.

I'll be down in the afternoon - you might hear me in the morning, parading round the streets of Southbank with the Scout Drum and Bugle band I'm involved with! Depending on the snow of course...
-
Assuming the A66 doesn't get closed overnight, me and JollyBob Senior will be footling around for a few hours. Look for us wherever there are little tanks...
-
I'll be there. One of my favourite shows.

Yes, weather permitting (it's coming down thick and fast now). Mainly after some more buildings and trying not to buy any gangsters. Nope, no gangsters. A new period means all new buildings, more metal not to paint, etc. etc.
-
I'm supposed to be there taking some of our figures for the Caliver Books stall - they're going to carry them at all the major shows, but looking out at the weather, I'm not so sure. The wife's just checking if there's a clear route with the RAC. :?

The snow that came down heavily in Cheltenham last night has vanished.................. :'(
-
We've got about 4" of snow plus freezing fog now :o
Very pretty as we live in a tiny hamlet. Any other weekend of the winter it would be great, but I'm just steeling myself to set off for York - normally across the Wolds, might try another route.
-
Dave Bickley is up that way, with Phil, I imagine they are facing the same problem.
-
We have about 4" of snow in North Dalton but are setting off soonish as local traffic says main roads are clear! Hope to be there before 11.30a.m.

Got there and back safe and sound, not so bad once I got onto the A roads.
Had to leave by early afternoon, but enjoyed what I saw - always like to look round Vapnartak, and great to have our figures on the Caliver Books stand - where they should be able to be found at all the major shows and more :D

Just got back myself. Absolutely peachy run there and back to Cumbria.
Bit disappointing this year, I thought. A few empty stalls, but if people were facing worse weather than we did I can understand it. Also, did I miss part of the West Wind stall, or did they only have SOTR stuff and a demo of their new game? I was after some Victorian/Gothic stuff and couldn't see it anywhere...
Mind you, the army of fat sweaty backpackmen was probably obscuring my view of a lot of stuff by that point, or the red rage they bring out in me was, anyway...
-
Given the amount of snow and the parlous state of the roads, I didn't think the turnout was too bad at all. It wasn't so crowded you can take both feet off the floor and not fall down, but where's the fun when it is?
I managed to be parted from my money and had a great time.

Had a good show and got to chat with lots of people. There were over 900 through the doors I was told.A third down from last year.
Never got to have a look around which is just aswell as I dont need any more miniatures.Well I do but I restrained myself.
Some very nice looking games being played from what I saw.
-
Well the snow did for Terry & me this time. Darkest Newark was a no-go zone, so '221B ' stayed in its packing boxes. A shame not to meet some of you fine gents at the show - I hope to see some of you at Hammerhead this Sunday
