Title: Lovecraft himself....
Post by: Plaguezombie on January 31, 2012, 09:50:40 PM
Hey guys!

i'm searching for a model that could represent Lovecraft himself to command my growing collection of Mythos-related models. Has anyone an idea for him?

yes indeedy! At least one:

on the far right (i know its a little hard to see in this picture, but im positive some other LAFers will have close ups of their own personal collection)

Uncle Mike, who is the mod for this very same Cthulhu board produces the mini:

as it says on the page, it use to be a limited ed. figure, but now it is available, and only through I imagine, this bundle set. a pretty good deal I'd imagine though, and if you're looking for Lovecraft himself, why not have an accompanying cast as well?

if there are any other suitable figures out there, someone on LAF will know about them-

hope this is what you're looking for!- and what do you have in mind for him, eh? :)

Just needs a little beard to become HP Hatecraft, author of "Char-Gar-Gothacon, the Beast With No Name", from Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated.

That looks like a terrific set!  I need a Lovecraft for my next Dr. Who adventure.  I wonder if how he looks next to Heresy's not-who.

Well, generally yes, although a bit on a tall side within that. I've posted measurements and unpainted comparison pics here (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=13040.5). A painted pic with eM-4, Reaper Chronoscope, West Wind, Grenadier and Citadel Gothic Horror minis is here (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=17902.0). Depends on your tolerance, whether the scale is too creepy...

Shocking Tales #3...out later this year (fingers crossed...) will not only have a Black Dossier scenario: The Strange Case Of Howard Philips Lovecraft, where stats will be provided for ol' H.P. himself but also a re-sculpt of our original Lovecraft model...and something else, more sinister than I can even begin to explain... >:D
