Right now I`m working on some Barbarian archers, a mammoth and some Picts. My Picts, by the way, are brutish Neanderthal-like, Cthulhu-worshipping savages inspired more by Robert E. Howard than history.

As part of the background to the 15mm range I`ve drawn a map of an alternative Britain circa 100AD - lots of influences, historical and fictional, but the actual landforms were inspired by maps of the land-bridge that existed between Britain and the European continent after the Ice Ages.

Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!
I can't start painting 15mm again at my advanced age... ;)
The eyeballs will'nae take it cap'n! o_o
But I do adore this range...

Only done one so far though lol

The temptation is getting to a critical level. I'll likely give in when the Romans arrive.

Well, that is jolly nice, Phil. Well done.
Maybe i'll just try a pack or two... If i were to see anyone selling them at Salute, for instance... ::)
-
I've got to say, those do look like mighty nice minis.
They could actually tempt me to try 15mm for the first time in 20 years! :o
We'll see... lol

You've kept that under your hat alright, Phil! Can't say I approve, but at least they're not plastic.... ;)

I like it! I was a bit worried it might go a bit too historical, but the Copplestone range seems to be shaping up nicely. I dont want historical Picts, but Neanderthal, Cthullu worshipping Picts I can go for!
BTW, how does one sign up for the Copplestone newsletter?
I also wonder if this might work as a variation for Saga, I dont fancy saga as a historical set but I might like a fantasy variant. The mechanics intrigue me.

the Trilithon Stone Portal would fit very nicely if I'd made the Stonehenge scene from the Spinal Tap movie in 28mm :D
anyway these Copplestone 15mm are very nice! the barbarians remind a lot of the grenadier ones (I also think they were his work)

What are you doing on the Fantasy board :o
Can't resist Mark's stuff, such a joy to paint, even in this scale, and always enjoy our games with "Astounding Tales" and fancied giving Howard's "Chain Mail Bikini" rules a go, can do it cheaply this way now.

Chain Mail Bikini Rules-What are these rules of which you speak?
