I like the cannon and love the gunner's pose.  But what really strikes me is that Ratnik's raw sculpt is more colourful than many painted models!

Great sculpts!  Are these going to be a part of the Bruegelburg line once finished?

Yes, they will.

Will they be ready before Glynis' birthday or do I buy her these for Christmas....
Better be Christmas, she will want the full crew to go with them. Plus shot barrow, powder barrel, cannon balls, limber and horses.

On the plus side I can get her to buy me another set of fortifications to use as a target....

Those are awesome.

I'm a little worried their uniforms aren't ornate enough.  lol

Seriously though, fantastic work!

We have a reprint of Daniel Specklin's 1589 book "Architectura von Vestungen".
I'll see if we can find it, it includes a picture of a sentry with a portable searchlight, might be a handy extra man on the crew....

Will there be a selection of barrels with each great cannone? Or, will there be a selection of 4 canon, each with a different barrel? These will make the militia run when first fired! Beautiful.

We are still thinking about it, perhaps the second, each with a different barrel.

Thanks. Great Gonnes, 4 canon, each with a unique barrel, makes sense. What use are barrels without the carriage   :) Igor's creations are fantastic!

What use are barrels without the carriage
what use? anybody can change plastic GW barrels with LAM ones
Title: Re: Cannon
Post by: white knight on 13 February 2012, 05:01:06 PM
True and it's a good idea, but I'd still like the option to buy complete LAM cannons too. :)

The thing with GW cannon's/mortars is also that it already comes with two barrels and only one undercarriage.

I'm sure we will find a way to give you complete cannons of your choice  :)

If you were to do Mogul crew men that would really expand the market for these guns.
Title: Re: Cannon

Mogul crew men

I don't know what that means  :)
Title: Re: Cannon
Post by: HerbyF on 13 February 2012, 05:59:44 PM
I meant Mugols from India. They were still using guns like that when the Eropeans arrived to conquer India.
Title: Re: Cannon
Post by: mweaver on 13 February 2012, 09:02:00 PM
Love those crew!

Maybe sell the cannons individually, but also sell just the barrels individually for those with spare carriages lying around?
Title: Re: Cannon
Post by: Sumo on 13 February 2012, 11:31:58 PM
The crew are excellent.

The cannon, in disagreement with the masses, don't work for me. I think the barrels may need some taper?

Those cannon look fantastic!  :-*

There are four different barrels?

I like to name my guns: Hellmouth, Deathspitter, Hellroarer, Flametongue - that sort of thing - so if there are multiple barrel choices so much the better!  :)

How many crew will there be for each gun? Any powder monkeys or grunts to do the heavy lifting? And how about a femme to lend a hand?

Title: Re: Cannon
Post by: Prof.Witchheimer on 04 July 2012, 10:12:32 AM
There are four different barrels, so we will have four different cannon packs and three different gun crew packs (3 man each) to choice and one artillery officer. You will be able to pick up a cannon with the barrel you like and a crew of your choice as well.
Title: Re: Cannon
Post by: Sir Barnaby Hammond-Rye on 04 July 2012, 11:16:14 AM
Only 3 men per crew?! Shouldn't they have 4 or 5?
Title: Re: Cannon
Post by: Prof.Witchheimer on 04 July 2012, 11:24:07 AM
There are 10 different gun crew models, just check all the pics on this thread. We will offer three packs containing 3 mean each and a single pack containing the officer. Getting the officer and one 3-men-crew you would have 4 men. If still not enough, just get other crew packs :)
