Perhaps this post should be over on the 'Western' Thread,
But it seems to me that the chaps over on the Colonial Thread would have more info on artillery draft animals.
So... Sigh... The lads at the local club have bamboozled me into a campaign for AK-47. They are all building African Armies from the 1960's. I had the figures lying about, so started an AK-47 army of Mexican Federales from 1910. With a few Renault FT-17 tanks thrown in for good measure.
I also have a few French 75's for my artillery. But it should be horse drawn. So any ideas on where I can pick up some 15mm artillery draft animals. To make it more interesting, I recently found out that the Federales used mules, and not horses. Here's a link to some footage I posted a while back.
Federales on a railway. Again, both types of headgear With French 75mm guns pulled by mules

Any helpful suggestions?

Askari miniatures?

They used horses or mules, what ever was available. Mules would be a little more common as horses would have been taken for mounts. A mixed team would not have been uncommon either, depending on how long they had been in the field and how far from replacements & supply.

Oh,
Suppose I should have said earlier. This AK47 nonsense is in 15mm.
The 28mm Federale troops are for 'BOB' style games.
Thanks for the replies so far...
