Post by: enionline on 17 February 2012, 11:00:40 AM
Hi to all, this is s the BOLT ACTION kit dedicated to the best anti-tank gun of the World War II, the '88 FLAK 36.

The camouflage I used was the one used by Afrika Korps, which is found in various models used on Italian front.

Fantastic, that would dominate any table.

I've heard that kit is a bit fiddly to put together - if so, thats even makes it even more fantastic.

The kit is not the best for the assembly and there are no instructions, but is detailed.
For the assembly you  must have some reference photos, I had fortunately those of a tamiya kit.

Great looking model.

Very nice work, perhaps a few rings around the barrel would add enhance it reputation!

I know but i've see one photo in one of the most GOTHIC LINE museum without ring and the end of barrel black from the heat.

Great looking model.

You've done a great piece proud... I just have to stop the boy Slug seeing this and my tommies will be safe.

Very nice. I have the Black Tree 88 but have never built up the enthusiasm to put it together. There's a beauty of an 88 in the grounds of Dead Man's
Corner near Carentan. I took some photos for reference but have no idea where they are!

Funny, finding this thread and that while I was just planning todays model building and painting and putting my own Bolt Action 88 on the table. Great inspiration and just making things even more exiting and fun! I have been building WWII vehicles, panzers and other items related to the subject like crazy the past few weeks, or months really, and are finally getting to a point where I have a small but impressive hardware pool.
Most of us in our gaming group, are very keen on actually having vehicles supporting all our mechanized and motorized troops including a fully supported HQ and reccon vehicles, even though most of them dont do anything in the game, besides looking good on the gaming table. It do add flavour and makes the table look more inhabited.
