Title: Acrid coffee and other horrors
Post by: Cryptkeeper on 22 February 2012, 01:19:00 AM
Hi there,
in this topic I want to show you my growing collection of Cthulhu miniatures. Maybe "collection" is the wrong word - in the moment there are only the blister of MiGos and Ghasts from RAFM in my blaspheming treasure box. Soon some Elder Things will join them, after I finished the Mountains of Madness book.

As inspiration for the colours of this unholy creature i used diverse pics of Mi Go in the web and esp. the painted versions from Prof. Witchheimer. My original intention was to use mainly brown tones but during the painting process I wanted to play a bit with more colours and in the end it looks a bit more "funny" than it should. The small stones symbolises the druid-like stone circle in the story. Only the "black stone" which is described in the story was a real problem for me to paint.
But I´m fine with the end result and already planing the next tiny horror.

Critics, compliments and questions are welcome!

Great painting :) Base is really nice too. What do you use for the leaves on the base?

Thank you for the comments!
I hope that I can finish a Ghast in this week, but as I know my painting discipline it wil take until next week  >:(

@blackstone: Thanks! I used some birch seed from the garden (German: Birkensamen ; I  hope this is the right translation)

Hey there!
At first I thank you for all the kind words that really gives me a boost of motivation to proceed with my Cthulhu projects 8)
But through curious circumstances I´ve slipped in a dimension called "real world" and there are still some quests to solve ;).
The Ghast I promised is the next  guy waiting on top of the never ending to-do list. If everything works smooth this weekend, I can at least post some WIPs here on Sunday.
Kind regards,
Cryptkeeper
