This is the very beginning of a G.I. Joe project. It's kinda sad how long it's taken me to get this far. The H.I.S.S. tank is from my buddy Mike's Shapeways store, Arctic Skunk. It's available in the store right now.

Here is the H.I.S.S with Storm Shadow, a RAFM Modern Heroes Ninja. This way you have an idea of the size. It's not a big tank. Just enough room for the driver and the gunner in the turret. Destro sells these cheap to Cobra Commander, so he can buy lots of them.
Here we have the only Joes I've finished so far. Snake Eyes and Torpedo are both from Chronoscope. They both need new bases, as does Storm Shadow. Unfortunately I've run out of basing materials at the moment.
And finally a battle shot. Since I was shooting this in my backyard I was reminded of my younger days when you played with whatever toys you had. Snake Eyes and Torpedo are taking on Storm Shadow and a tank. It could happen.

Very awesome. Do you have other Joes planned?
There is a good Cobra Commander out there now.
-
Very cool models, and the paint jobs are excellent. Brings back a lot of memories of backyard adventures in my youth as well.
-
I wanna see Shipwreck including parrot!
Seriously nice though dude ;)
-
Very nice. Looks a tad small to my eye, but accomplished work on the tank.
Good minis selection as well.
From one GI Joe fan to another. :)
-
Thanks for all the kind replies.
Do you have other Joes planned?
I'm working on a Scarlett conversion right now. I have a Duke planned and maybe a Beach Head. For Cobra I have to do a Baroness and I will eventually pick up the Golgo Island Cobra Commander. I'll be getting a whole bunch of Victory Forces figures when I have the chance and that web-site doesn't hate me. I've had problems in the past.
As I said, this is just the beginning of a much larger project. Of course at this rate it'll be done sometime around 2044.
-
Fantastic!!! Truly, fantastic!!!
Brian
-
Great work and great to see my favourite Jow in miniature; my younger self always thought snake eyes was way cooler than the others and hated the fact that my brother had him and not me :(
-
Tasty!
-
Ooh, that HISS is spectacular.
What are you going to use for the regular blue suits?
-
I just put in an order with Victory Force for 2 German Wehrwolf Half Squads. That's ten men. I also ordered the NEW WAR German NH Half Squad for specialists and such. I think 15 is a good starting place. It seems I've found some inspiration on this project recently.
-
I can't believe I missed this. Wonderful. I will be scoring some of those tanks for sure, the HISS was my favorite vehicle as a child. I have been wanting to build a 28mm version for some time but lack the skills and equipment. Thanks so much for the heads-up.
-
H.I.S.S. tank was my favorite GI joe toy also. Excellent conversions, cant wait till 2044 to see them all finished. On the plus side I will be in my 70's and every time I see your models will be the first time for me... :?
-
I love this! :-*
The backyard is the perfect place to take those photos... it is mostly where I played with G.I. Joe's anyway! Brings back memories, thanks for sharing!
-
Excellent conversions, cant wait till 2044 to see them all finished.
Michka was at my place for a game yesterday and told me that he now had five Joes finished, and had primed his Cobra troopers. Maybe we'll have to revise that date to 2042.... ;)
-
Are you planning to use the Reaper Chronoscope Natalia fig for the Baroness? Would work great!
-
Painted red, this makes a Hyena tank from the Red Shadows! 8)
-
I can not believe that i missed the not-H.i.s.s tank a year ago i searched everywhere for someting like this!
-
Are you planning to use the Reaper Chronoscope Natalia fig for the Baroness? Would work great!
That's exactly the miniature I plan to use. I'll be painting her up once I've finished painting the first ten Victory Force Cobra troopers.
Also, I built five new bases for the finished Joes so far. I'll get a picture taken as soon as the bases are painted and attached to the figures.
And now you know...
-
I so want one of those tanks - as a Hyena of course :D
bit pricey after postage to the UK >:(
-
Hello,
On the basis of this thread I ordered a HISS tank from Shapeways and it has just arrived.
There was minor issues with recognition of the shipping address by the automated form, but after an email to the company the problem was dealt with very quickly allowing me to place my order.
The model turned up very quickly (about a week from the US to UK) and was well packaged.
It is really nice model, but I had not expected it to be hollow! I might pour some resin to the body to give it a little more weight . I have not cleaned it up but there does not seem to be any flash or mould lines which I would susopect is due to the way they are made. I think it will just need a light wash to remove some of the powdry dust on the model.
So long story short, it is a great model, the company was a pleasure to deal with , thanks for the heads up Michka :)
EDIT: forgot to say this will become a Hyena tank to support my Red Shadows, just need to find a Red Jackal proxy I like the look of...
-
Shapeways (and pretty much every other 3D printer I've found) base their cost on the volume of material used, so a hollow model is significantly cheaper than a solid model. Wherever practical, I design everything to be hollow.
I'm glad you like the model. :)
-
I'm glad you like the model. :)
I really do!
Now I checked out the Victory Force stuff and they do make decent Cobra Troopers, but has anyone found a good Viper model?
-
Well I finally took some pictures of my newest Joes. Here are Scarlett, Duke and Beach Head.
Scarlett is a Hasslefree Pistol Packing Eve. I moved her right arm down to her side and modified the left hand pistol into a crossbow. The only crossbow I had on hand when I started working on this was from a Warmachine model. After much carving and scraping I got it down to a somewhat reasonable size. It's still too big, but it's G.I. Joe so I think it works. Duke and Beach Head are both unmodified RAFM SWAT team members from their Modern Heroes line.
-
Scarlet yup very nice, but not keen on the other two sculpts tbh, that's nothing to do with your painting just the proportions of the sculpts.
What's next?
-
SWEET Scarlet dude!
-
brilliant love it nice collection hehe
-
Man I've been wanting to do this project for a while now. This is really making me want to get it going. Great Work so far!
-
Scarlett is spot on. Fantastic. The other two are very recognizable, but the sculpts don't stand up to your excellent painting.
-
As mentioned before, I'm using the Victory Force German Wehrwolf Half Squad 1 for my standard troopers. I've got ten painted, but only five have the bases done so far. And here they are...
Here they are with a H.I.S.S. tank.
and her they are with Zartan. (He's in disquise. ;) )
Thank you for all the nice comments. I really appreciate the feedback. I have to agree that the Duke figure isn't great. I don't mind the Beach Head figure though. Then again he's not one of my favorite Joes. Next up I should be getting the other five standard troopers based and ready. Then there's the Baroness. By then my second H.I.S.S. tank should be arriving.
Now does anyone have a good idea for the what to use for my standard Joe troopers? I'm looking for a basic figure that can be modified slightly to match the original line up. Guys like Grunt, Clutch and Breaker. I'd like them to be somewhere between Victory Force sized and Chronoscope. That's not too much to ask, is it?
-

I've thought about that often myself, and it's a hard one. The closest thing I've come up with are the EM-4 troopers: http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/TROOPERS.html (http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/TROOPERS.html) And I freely admit they are only vaguely similar.
-
Okay, these are freak'n awesome. I have to steal your ideas.
-
and here they are with Zartan. (He's in disquise. )
So..... which one was Zartan? :D
-
Well it's been far too long since my last posting. Sometimes taking pictures is the hardest part. This is going to be an all Cobra addition. To start out we have three personalities, Firefly, The Baroness, and Storm Shadow. The Baroness is a Chronoscope Natalia, female secret agent figure. Storm Shadow is RAFM's modern figure Ronin. Firefly is a RAFM Terrorist Cell figure. Firefly might not be the best figure, but he works.
Next up we have some special weapons troopers. These are from Victory Force New Wars line. This is a German NH Half Squad, not to be confused with the German Wehrwolf Half Squad 1. Those are the guys I use for my regular Cobra troopers.
I've also added another H.I.S.S. tank. I want at least three, but it's more likely I'll end up with five eventually.
And finally I present all the Cobra forces I have at the moment.
I've added another half squad to the regular troops, bringing that total to ten. Eventually I'll want between twenty and thirty regular Cobra troops, along with three to five H.I.S.S. tanks, Cobra Commander and Destro. There just may be another goody coming from the Arctic Skunk Shapeways store as well. I'll let you know when I do.
-
looks good... need to get one of those tanks...
shouldn't they have different ID numbers though? ;)
-
I think the number on the front is supposed to be a unit designation. If anyone knows for sure please let me know. I did put a small number inside the grey circle on the side, mostly so I'd remember which tank came first. I can always go back and turn one of them into H.I.S.S. number 768.
-
shouldn't they have different ID numbers though? ;)
It's like that bit in Casino Royale (1960s film version) when Sir James Bond decides that all British agents will be designated "007", to confuse the enemy.
Nice models and nice paint (and I say that as someone with no nostalgia for the background, so you know it's true!).
-
Man this takes me back to my childhood!!! :o ;D
AWESOME! :-*
-
Killer dude!
I said the Reaper Chronoscope Natalia would make a great Baroness, but I'd no idea how good til I saw this one! :-*
-
Can I suggest the Defiance Games UAMC marines as Vipers Cheap plastic, you only have to scrap smooth the visor, add grenades and forearm pads. This is going to be the basic troop type for my army (hopefully the pic works):

Fantastic idea. This might be what I need to get me back into my Joe project. I already have half a box of UAMC. I can do some experimenting right away. Thank you for the idea.
-
This is a great project. Ever since I saw that non-Cobra Commander I've wanted to do this too. I'll be rooting for you!
-
This is by far my most favorite thing on this site...simply brilliant! (says the guy who dolled up his Minecraft character to resemble a Cobra Viper...)
-
Fantastic idea! I recognised it as a viper immediately. lol
-
Would Vietnam-era figures work? They don't have the bulky modern body armor, so they look like the more generic 80s-US forces.

I do have one more suggestion (last one, not trying to hijack the thread or anything). A wargames foundry helmet for a technoviper:

A wargames foundry helmet for a technoviper:
Do you mean Wargames Factory?
-
http://www.megaminis.com/
Check out the Modern line, there is a few good ones there, the survivor with the cowboy hat could be a good Wild Bill, some of the gangers could be Zartan's gang..
-
There are some great ideas here. I'm focused on other projects right now. (Aliens, Judge Dredd, TMNT, Star Trek, ect.) Otherwise I'd be building some more Joes and Cobras.
Oh, and please add what you want to this thread. It's all been good.
-
Fantastic stuff! Tempted to plunge in and recreate all those battles I had on my bedroom floor and out in the sand box when I was a kid.
Again, fantastic paint and leg work to find the minis,
Brian
-
Lovely figures Firefly looks great to me and so does the Baroness :-* :-*
-
These are wonderful. I can't wait to see what's next. Long time Joe fan from way back.
-
It's been way too long since I added anything to this thread. Anyway, here goes...
and here's one with some Cobra troops for scale comparison.

This is another Shapeways model created for me by Arctic Skunk. I've had the model for some time but just never got around to painting it. I plan to add a pilot eventually, but I also need a few parked on the ground as well. After finally getting this guy done I think I'll be placing another order soon.
-
Immense! Love it. ;D
-
I'm in love with this thread!
-
very cool stuff!
-
Super cool...such an inspiration. Genuinely surprises me no one does a full "notGI Joe" line. :'(
-
Serious flashbacks to when I was a kid - keep it coming :-*

Man a FANG. Mr. P has been busy. WOOT!
Cant wait to see a Trouble Bubble.
Grimm
-
Thanks for all the great compliments. I feel another G.I. Joe mood coming on.
Man a FANG. Mr. P has been busy. WOOT!
Cant wait to see a Trouble Bubble.
I've mentioned the Trouble Bubble, but that glass canopy would be a female dog.
Don't be surprised if another vehicle shows up soon. Maybe even something for the Joe's for once.
-
The bubble canopy wouldn't be too hard to make from a capsule from one of those vending machines... the ones that are half coloured and half clear and have a toy inside.
They come in different sizes so you should be able to find one to suit.
Alternatively, there are mini plastic display domes that would also do the trick.
If you have a dremel with a saw attachment, it wouldn't be too hard to cut them to shape... you'd just have to go careful finishing off the edges.
As a side note, I am very impressed with what you have managed so far and look forward to seeing what else turns up :)
-
oh... lovely Hawk there ;)
http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/toys/002/sas/002/index.html
wish I could afford some shapeways stuff at the moment, would get both the Hawk and the Hyena
-
I had that copter as a kid. Loved it. It was one of my favorite joe toys. Thanks for the memory lane trip!
-
I have 14 COBRA figures in the works right now. These two models are very, very tempting. :)
-
I love this thread. That chopper was my first G.I. Joe toy vehicle. Thank you for sharing.
-
Join the Cobra special forces!

I can't get over how awesome these are! Cobra!!!
-
Sweet Fang! Very inspirational 8)

Amazing! I spent countless hours playing with G.I.Joe figures.

I finally checked out the info on the British version of this model. How cool is it that this is a good guy vehicle in the UK and a bad guy vehicle in the US. I've been really tempted to paint up the alternate color schemes ever since I found that Blood For The Baron site.
-
Somehow I missed this thread and having toyed with the same idea (I even considered getting some Cobra figures sculpted) I now want to go ahead and do it (though I have no hobby time whatsoever currently or the foreseeable future).
Can we get our hands on that shapeways copter too? And did you use decals for the cobra symbol?
-
Mike uploaded the copter on his Arctic Skunk site a couple weeks ago, so it should be available.
I painted the Cobra symbols on. I hate working with decals so I usually just paint everything by hand.
-
Thanks. ;)
Painting everything by hand? :o
-
By the way, what paints did you use for the blue of the Cobra Troopers?
-
It's been a while since I painted these, but I think it was Reaper squeezy bottle Sapphire Blue with a Sky Blue dry-brush and Ash Grey shadows.
-
Thank you, its a very nice bright blue. I may try to mimic it, because I just have to start a Joe projet, heh.
-
As I mentioned sometime before I have a new goody for my Cobra forces. I present the S.N.A.K.E. battle armor. I've included a standard Cobra trooper for size comparison.
There's at least one more vehicle in the pipe. I hope to have it painted and ready to show off by next week.
-
Nice work! I saw that Hiss tank and about had a heart attack when I saw the price! Wow!
-
Too cool 8)
-
Oh.My.God.
This is unbelievably awesome. It's like every 30-something man's wet dream fantasy come to life.
Keep it up, mate. This is brill beyond compare.
-
Awesome, I never had one of those as a kid!
-
This is unbelievably awesome. It's like every 30-something man's wet dream fantasy come to life.
Haha no, that would involve Phoebe Cates swimming in my pool.
I like that there's a 15mm scale version of that tank on Shapeways, I just wish I could remotely justify ordering a handful of them...
-
It's like every 30-something man's wet dream fantasy come to life.
If that's wet dream fantasy for 30 year olds nowadays I'm just glad I already passed 50 - I'd still be happy with Barbarella
-
I love the SNAKE armor. I was just about to go order some HISS tanks and make the plunge, but I think ArticSkunk raised his price on the 25mm HISS's. I can get a LandRaider for $73. Oh Well. One less project to worry about. Will be watching yours with envy.
-
This project is totally awesome!! :-*

.
The HISS is still the same price as when I originally released it - $29. Since the release I have had special requests for different sized versions and have added a 15mm HISS and a 'Heroic Scale' HISS for someone building a Cobra themed 40K army. The Heroic Scale HISS is over 1.5 times larger in all dimensions and is much more expensive, at $73. If you search for the models alphabetically all three versions will come up together as versions of the GV06 Sentry Tank.
Mike
-
For those who are annoyed at the Shapeways prices, keep in mind that Mike isn't getting rich off this. Shapeways charges quite a lot for the convenience. It's worth it to me to get models that have never existed before, and probably never will in any other way.
-
But to jump from 25mm to Heroic 28mm is more than double the price? That is a huge price hike. It is weird but on Shapeways some stuff seems to be very reasonable and then other stuff you just go what?
-
But to jump from 25mm to Heroic 28mm is more than double the price?
Actually, yes. Shapeways charges based upon the volume of material in the model. When you double the size of an object (x 2), the volume goes up by a factor of eight (2 x height, 2 x length, 2x depth). Making the models hollow helps a lot, but prices go up very quickly when you increase size.

Hello
the S.N.A.K.E. battle armor is great :)
is it a custom job or is it available from Shapeways? I have been looing throught the site but have not found it.....
Thanks for posting your lovely minis :)
EDIT: I found him

Good news. I guess I was looking at the heroic one. For the record: I've got no beef with anyone making cash off their talent. More power to you. I was merely lamenting the fact that I couldn't afford it. But at $29 I will likely be ordering one. I'm glad they're available period for Joe enthusiasts.
-
Thanks for clarifying that, I wasn't sure which one of those sizes you had shown in the previous pics. $29 seems pretty reasonable, and the SNAKE armor you posted looks really great.
Perhaps a suggestion, without changing your profit level, if you were to hollow the model somewhat (perhaps two halves), you might be able reduce the manufacturing cost of the heroic scale on to something less imitating to the crowd. But personally I would rather see you spend you time bringing some other cool vehicles out like the Vamp or the Ram :)
-
Thank you everyone for the compliments. For the record the H.I.S.S. tanks I've showed here are the original 25mm ones. At some point I'd like to get a large one as well, just to show off the scale difference but my own budget has taken a hit lately. Maybe next year. I still have one more vehicle to paint, and I think you guys will like it. Here's hoping I can get it painted by the end of the week.
Oh, one more thing. All the Joe Shapeways models, the H.I.S.S. tank, the F.A.N.G. helicopter and even the S.N.A.K.E. battle armor, have been hollowed out extensively. In most cases if Mike made the walls any thinner they wouldn't print. I know this for as fact because I've seen some of his designs get rejected for this exact reason.
-
Thanks Michka
-
god dammit, why don't I have any money... >:(
-
I admire your dedication. 8)
One of my dreams is to get some figures made for this theme eventually (mainly not-cobra figures), but right now I just have too many ranges on the go to be able to add another one on short term.
-
My newest vehicle, and this time we have something for the Joes. The Vamp...

And here we have a photo of the Vamp next to some miniatures, for scale.
The Quick-Kick miniature is new too. I painted him a long time ago, but I didn't have any G.I.Joe bases ready till recently. Let me know what you think.
Oh, and I believe Arctic Skunk will have this model up sometime next week.
-
More awesomeness! :-*
-
Very nice dude.
-
ah, man... stop it... >:( the Panther and Stalker were the first Action Force toys I ever bought... :'(
-
Awesome stuff...so much potential. I'm so damn tempted to try my hand at a GI Joe project... lol
-
I am too, trying to figure out what would be a good set of rules to use. Perhaps Supersystem 3 or the generic version Chain Reaction that is made by the people that made After the Horsemen as that can be solo done.
-
It's so nice to finally see it painted. Nice job, Michka!
-
Love it - very nostalgic....for Action Force of course....none of this GI Joe nonsense ;)
-
Love. I'm in love with this.
-
Thanks everybody. I'm as happy as can be.

I plan to use Savage Worlds for my G.I.Joe game. This won't be any surprise to anyone who knows me, since most games I run lately are Savage Worlds. There's even a not-G.I.Joe supplement called Strike Force 7. Maybe I'll run a Joe game at Rock-Con this year. It's about time I used these minis for more then decoration.
Love it - very nostalgic....for Action Force of course....none of this GI Joe nonsense ;)
Do you know where a guy can get a hold of some Action Force stories? I know the villains appeared in some recent G.I.Joe stories, but where do I find the original article? ah, man... stop it... >:( the Panther and Stalker were the first Action Force toys I ever bought... :'(
Considering how often your Doctor Who project has taunted me, I feel it's only fair.
-
I would absolutely love it if Arctic Skunk would do a Shadowtrak on shapeways.
-
The Quick-Kick miniature is new too.
What model did you use for him?
Let me know what you think.
I think you're an asshole for making me want to spend money on more models. lol
Other than that, it's all very good. :D

You can read some of Action Force on the web:

I would absolutely love it if Arctic Skunk would do a Shadowtrak on shapeways.
I had to look up what a Shadowtrack was. Those never showed up in G.I.Joe. I probably wouldn't get one, mostly because it's open topped. Most of the vehicles have been enclosed, which saves me from having to sculpt a driver.
And the Quick Kick mini is from the Reaper Chronoscope line. Super easy conversion, which is why it got done. Quick Kick was one of my least favorite characters.

My arctic skunk want list
joes
Mobat tank, really want this alot, if you only make one more vehical this is the one to make.
Ram motorcycle
APC (Amphibious Personnel Carrier)
flak cannon
HAL
and a set of iconic jet packs for conversions
Cobra
stinger, a repainted vamp jeep with missiles, the missiles could be used for hiss tanks too
cobra claw (a wing)
trouble bubble pod
-
pretty iconic list.
-
I'd like to add a Cobra ASP to that list. ;)
-
I can tell you there are two variants of the Vamp ready right now. There's a Vamp Mk II, which comes with a missile pod/rack, and a Vamp with no rear deck weapon. You will probably see a Stinger as well. One of the problems with some of these is price. An APC is a big model, so you can imagine how much much Shapeways would charge for such a monster. (I might be speaking out of turn here. I should let Mike make these comments, but he's out of town right now.)
Does anyone know what tank body the Mobat was based on? The Turret is original, but if we can find a good 1/48th scale tank model and add a Shapeways turret to it we could have a Mobat at less then hideous prices.
-
Perhaps this is close enough

or

perhaps a bit smaller, but an abrams shouldn't be too hard to find in a smaller scale
-
A gun barrel to convert an M1 Abrams to a Mauler would be cool too.
-
Do you know where a guy can get a hold of some Action Force stories? I know the villains appeared in some recent G.I.Joe stories, but where do I find the original article?

That's an interesting beast, and quite possibly the quintessential toy tank! Overall, it looks a bit like a compressed MBT-70, but the chassis particularly seems to be a "fantasy piece".
Given that, I wonder if the generic chassis of the Tamiya/Academy/Arii (whoever produces them currently) 1/48 motorized tanks would work. There is an M60 in that series whose upper hull looks similar, or you could go for the Abrams.
On the other hand, those can turn out to be hard to find from time to time (and they are 20-30 years old, so eventually might disappear).
-
I'm not sure about 1/48 scale. I'm pretty sure the Hiss tank is 1/56 scale which is my preferred scale for 28mm although I think the idea of making just the turret is a pretty good idea. alternatively the best solution might be to get some one to simply cast resin models instead of relying on shapeway.
with the Hiss being $29.00 hopefully a full size tank wouldn't be more than $50.00 I could justify buying a mobat tank in 1/56 scale for $50.00
Speaking of price. I added several of these items to my cart at shapeway a little while ago. I never completed the transaction and I didn't delete the cart contents. today I got an email from shapeway and there offing me a 10% discount to complete the transaction. I've delt with shapeway for about a year now and they never offered me a discount like that before. I wonder if I can increases my order?

Mobat was a Sheridan I believe...
Also everything he is awesome.

According to this page, it was bases on the mbt-70. The link has a comparison pic and the resemblance is obvious.

white knight, great find
if the mobat can't be done due to costs howabout a Wolverine missle tank for the joes? it's roughly the same size as a hiss maybe slightly larger but not as large as a mobat
I think I'm going to have to recreate the battle of Springfield USA circa 1987. with all these great vehicals. the suggestions people have givin for cobra troops are great what do you guys think about the joes. I'm thinking of Empress miniatures, Hasslefree minis, mongrel minis, and chronoscope (along with lots of conversions) any other suggestions for 1980 pulp military figures? I'd like to keep it early joes before all the neon uniforms popped up.
-
Honestly I think Korean war U.S. GI's with some alternate helmets/rifles would do the trick. The basic joes were pretty...basic. Very hum-drum uniforms.

I do currently plan to do a Stinger to go along with the Vamps. Most of the work is already done, after all.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, Shapeways prices goes up very quickly when a model's size goes up. I've looked at doing a Mobat before, and have held off because I'm not sure how expensive it would be. There seems to be a lot of interest, though, so maybe I'll give it a shot and see how it turns out. I'll also start doing some research into some of the other vehicles mentioned and we'll see what happens.

Can't you just do a mockup to get a general idea of the volume/price? Like, don't worry about getting the angles of the panels exactly right, or adding details. Make something the approximate shape and size, make sure the wall thicknesses are correct, and check it.

Is there any chance of seeing a 28mm Heroic HISS tank next to a figure? If it is large enough to be used as a Leman Russ, I may have my next project...
-
Unfortunately I haven't been able to afford one yet, so I haven't got one to show. I want to get one someday, but that will be a ways off. I still need more Vamps, Fangs and Snakes.

You can still find the old Aurora MBT-70 in 1/48 scale on ebay.

Indeed, I bought one last night. It's close enough to be recognisable as the MOBAT with the right markings and not so expensive that a shapeways model would be a better deal.
Much better that Mike concentrates on some of the smaller, more unique models if he has the time and inclination. 8)
Eagerly awaiting the HISS, FANG and SNAKE models I ordered too. :-*
-
I know these are fairly recognizable, but thought they might make a good addition to your Joes. I know I'm ordering a set.

Crap. Maybe the maker has one available? Mike?

Similar articles probably exist, but I couldn't find them.

Sorry, no. I do not have any pictures of the Heroic Scale Hiss.
-
Weird, I had it in my mind that the MOBAT was basically a GI Joe version of M-1 Abrams. Apparently I was way off about that. lol

Not really - the Abrams is pretty much an MBT-70 follow-up minus the extra tankload of high-tech gizmos (Shillelagh launcher, I'm looking at you).

...

I know this is threadomancy, but what did you use for Quick Kick? :)

It's a Reaper miniature: link (https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/Chronoscope/sku-down/50190)

Those look fantastic! I hadn't seen the MOBAT before. I really should get back to this project soon. There are just so many good options available right now.
