I'd totally throw down against the force containing this.
Just my luck, another VSF gamer on pretty much the exact opposite of the globe.
-
Cool. I like your use of bits.
-
:-*
That looks mighty awesome!
Can't wait to see it painted! ;D
-
Ingenious!
Like the idea.

Thank you, gentlemen!
The gun is now finished. Big Mike the Dinosaur and crew to follow...

Terrific. Lovely glowing colours.

That is a Beautiful peice. I wish I had one for my army.
-
Now that is BRILLIANT. You have some pretty nifty scratch building skills there!!!
Weird, I was looking at using the same Dino for pulling a coach.........
PM
-
Nice build and a great paint job. Well done.
-
:-*
Came out a treat! Wonderful!
-
Glad I didn't see it yesterday; might have said something foolish like 'yes, that's very nice...'
:-*
Doug

It's pretty...
... and awesome.
So that's 'pretty awesome!'
-
Thanks, gents! I'll keep you posted as things develop...
PM - I have four of those dinosaurs. Considering other uses...
-
I mean it. I must win the Lottery so that I can hire this man.
Either that, or raid the children's college funds...
-
Who says I'm expensive? I could be persuaded...
What do you have in mind?
-
awesome!
Scratchbuilding superb!
Painted even better!
PS: It needs a generator to power it!
-
A generator? Hmmm...
Added the crewman today. Would have done more, but was busy scratch-building Gatling guns...
Doesn't he look dashing?

Stunning painting, too!

-
:o ;D :-*
I really like it.
And obviously you're sooo talented at scratch building, I'm envious.
Thanks for sharing.
-
Gentlemen, your comments are greatly appreciated. I'm up to my neck in bits and bobs right now... more to come!
Thanks for the link, Argsilverson! Very interesting. I migt play wth an idea or two...
Had some great ideas for more, equally silly, machines today. I'll keep you posted.
-
Tis very cool.

If you need I can share a couple of my ideas with you!

More posted on my blog today, gents...

Big Mike the Dinosaur is complete!

Argsilverson - I have decided to add a generator, as suggested. Thank you. It will be on a second carriage, forming a 'train'...
Watch this space...
-
Flipping brilliant. I wish I was this creative. Well done Sir.
-
expecting to see it!
Since I understand that you are in the antipodes from me, I suggest you to use Eureka's figures from Pax Limpopo crew for the rattler or the thunderer, you may save some conversion. (tip: if you do not need the complete unit you may ask nicely to eureka and they can give you spare crew figures)
-
Great looking contraption! :-*
-
Generator constucted and almost painted!
Hope you approve!

;D :o :D :-* o_o lol ...
... are just a few of the expressions that smashed their way accross my features in the last 2 minutes!
Just mega-awesomosity in a giant bucket tipped on the head of astounded flabbergast.
-
Wow! :-*
Now that is magic! Very nice contraption!
-
Incredibly awesome !
Very nice thought and execution.
I understand that the painting is still on. A small suggestion Try to immitate copper on the copper cables. This will end to an extra striking effect. (BTW copper is not corroded -almost- and thus no need for protective paint). But as I judge from your painting and scratchbuilt abilities you do not need any advise from me!
-
The generator looks fantastic, as usual.
It must suck being so good at kitbashing. I wish I sucked half as bad as you.
If you get what I mean.
Seriously, though, the addition of the generator wagon was a great idea. I think it helps with the suspension of disbelief that goes to make VSF toys seem more realistic. You sir, are becoming a Known Figure in the realm of VSF Gaming. Her Majesty (God Bless Her) would most definitely be Amused.
-
Gentlemen, it is an honour to be held in such high regard. I only hope I can continue doing work that pleases!
I now have designs for seven new technological monstrosities of various sizes and plans for a project that will put Gargantua, Leadwood and eveything else so far to shame!
There. I've said it. Have to do it now...
Needless to say, it may take some time...
-
I like that 8)
cheers
James
-
Officcially you're now my "scratchbuilders Hero". o_o
Thanks for sharing such beautiful piece of work.
Best wishes.
-
Thank you, James. I like it too.
Magokiron - I'll try to live up to your expectations! New project on my table at this very moment.
All the Best.
-
OK - Finished!
And here's the whole train...

Cracking paintjob as well as amazing creativity.

:-* :-* :-*
-
DAMN!
Amazing job! Simply awesome. :-*
-
I think that we might run into a shortage of :-* and :o emoticons! That is a gorgeous piece of work.
-
Thanks, gents!
It's forums such as this that keep me motivated. I really appreciate your enthusiasm and encouragement. Making stuff is much more fun when you're putting it out there for the world to critique!
All the Best!
-
Yes, Superb!
Indeed it is a very beautiful model. Bravo!
(For spare figures, ask Nic from Eureka miniatures he might provide you with a couple of figires from their pax limpopo range i.e. vrew members of the rattler or thunderer)
-
Thank you. The generator was your idea - very glad you're pleased with the end result!
I'll take a look at Eureka and see what grabs me.
-
'and has turned into something I'm rather proud of!'
Really, considering the dingus, brash understatement and false humility... lol
Sorry, is there a table large enough for that much awesomeness? And, WITH Gargantua?
In my list of people of hated competence, you are actually pushing into PM's realms, and we'll have none of that! ;)
Simply, sweet.
By the way, I've quite forgotten. Do you do fliers? :D
Doug
-
Um... Thanks, I think, Doug!
Still haven't actually GOT a table for these creations - that's coming!
As for flyers - yes. I have a sketch or two in me book...
All the Best!
-
Fantastic!
-
Fair Warning Sir. I am totally stealing this idea. That is all.
-
Be my guest, Sir. I'd love to see what you come up with!
-
You're a scholar and a gentleman.
-
I've been called worse!
You're welcome.
