Tonight we played another scenario from the US section, with a small German force attacking a worn down US Airborne platoon as more US troops race to relieve them.

Despite me only managing to draw 3 and 4 value morale chits - and lots of them - I still managed to destroy the German force! The Shermans proved to be very effective when up against StuGs and the amount of firepower I was able to direct on a piecemeal German attack cut down the Germans in droves, with some very effective bouts of Covering Fire nailing the German infantry as they moved into position.
Man of the Match goes to PFC Hank 'Hardnut' Henderson, who after the rest of his squad were wiped out by a direct hit from a Nebelwerfer round, promptly ran forward and took out a StuG with his bazooka... Sadly his MoH will be awarded postumously. Amusingly a German Panzerschrek that tried the same tactic got mowed down in the attempt!

I think its a hard scenario for the Germans this one, as with a good defence the US player has alot of advantages... Though the dice were with me. Skip started as he meant to go on... As usual his first roll for activation was a double 1, followed by a 3 the following turn which gave me two turns getting off lightly, and also used up the turns before help arrived!

Good fun game and quick to play, very enjoyable... and dont mind the Hetzers and Jagdpanzer IV standing in for StuGs as mine aint painted yet!
