Yeah

Who looks in 'pulp' anyway!???

I've emailed Artizan directly to request, nah demand that they produce the heads on separate sprues... can I please ask everyone else to do the same! If we get enough people doing so they may well bow to our collective pressure.

You know, Pig Iron makes some vaguely similar heads: http://www.pig-iron-productions.com/order.htm#

You maybe knew this already, but I just thought I'd put it out there.

I was only messing, ;)

As emails cost nothing send them a specific email regarding heads and heads alone, with enough interest this could happen.

I absolutely LOVE the Artizan line of minis ( I've got their very cool Brit Para-trooprers).
Their "Character" minis are by far some of the best I've seen (IMHO).
I will be ordering some of those new Germans very soon!

The easiest way to get the Zorro figure to show up is to threaten to evict the peasants from the land, or put Fray Francisco in prison. Then you should loudly state: "Nothing can hinder my plans now!"

For best results, stand on a balcony overlooking the plaza, or have lots of anonymous servants at a dinner party.

Kind of an expensive flight for a Zorro fig.
I could have one custom sculpted cheaper :)

I'd want to make sure it fit with an existing line of Mexican troops too.

Are you able to change out those weapons or are they all just in one piece?

Another way is to keep moaning on this forum about: "Why is noone making a fill_in_the_blank miniatyre? It is such a shame!" a few times and hey presto! some steps up and says: "Here it is!"

It worked for me with the German Cameliers.

There was no comment section, so I had to dig out an email and ask to

anyway, order is placed. Mostly consists of sky pirates :)

We'll see how things go.

How about Artizan's own range?

Wasn't thinking that far ahead when I placed my order with them.

I'll be honest though, in general I'm looking to support American companies that have
quality sculpts in a consistant scale and
sculpt with other minis.

There are some amazing UK and Aussie companies though that you just can't ignore what they have to offer.

For instance,  the good professor has a
scale comparison in his wild west gallery.

He has and old scale and new scale listed
for Foundry Cowboys.  I don't want too much mixing if I can avoid it. (And I've not

And of course there is a matter of cost.
The US dollar isn't translating well to
Sterling all that well right now.

Basically I'm going on a case by case basis.
already ordered from Artizan, some Foundry is scheduled, as well as Eureka and Old Glory...and a couple others I forget
the names of but have written down at home).

I'm always eager to see what's out there though...

For US companies, you can always look to Brigade Games for good stuff. Their catalog may seem wonky, but it has some prime stuff in there. Also I'll put in a pitch for Conquest and their American Indians. And if you want fun sci-fi, there's the Quar from Zombiesmith.

Now, in the interest of full disclosure, I have business or personal ties (or both) with these companies. But I have ties with these companies because they are good companies run by people with good product - I was a fan of their work long before I was a business partner or a friend.

Thanks for the info.
Seen some nice stuff on brigade, but yes, the catalogue has some big gaps picture wise. Typically I won't order minis sight unseen unless I'm very familiar with the company and its products.

Just getting back to the new Artizan Stuff. I would just like to say they are very awesome, and to be honest it is because I saw these minis online, that I joined this forum. - Hello All.

Friend told me that Artizan is sold locally at a store just north of Houston.

I'm looking forward to checking it out.

It's still about an hour drive from me though so it's not something I can
quite do on a whim.
