Title: PREVIEW OF GAFDOZ HYDRUS AND MAGMA-CRON
Post by: Captain Gamma on 12 January 2008, 04:56:13 PM
Hi guys,
I've just received the preview pics of the new GAFDOZ figures from Martin Baker, I'm really rather proud of them. :D

No release date as yet, but the bad news is that the Hydrus and Harvestman will be a bit more expensive than the other figures in the range. See what you think:

There are also a load of Geezer previews on the Other Adventures forum.

They're huge. No one has a problem with paying more if its a larger figure.

Not sure what to make of the "armor plated" chap but the lizardman as a perfect rendering of a rubber suit monsters in 28mm, and the screaming multi-legged fellow is pretty great too.

I just can't wait till the whole set is up!

The Magma-Crons do not wear armour, they are comprised of rock and lava.
So be careful if you want to punch one!

Oh my good Lord! Here I was so valiantly resisting your lure, and then... gaaaah! Will there be variant poses for the two, or are they one offs? I LOVE that reptilian-aquatic-thingbeastiewotsit...

There will be various poses for each. The intention is to allow gamers to field a horde of burning Magma-Crons.

There won't be as many poses for the Hydrus: about 3 and a Hydrus Alpha leader.

Man, that´s totally enough. I guess I´ll look out for something to convert into a spiky flying-turtle-shaped rocketship for them...

I can totally see some Hydrus mercenaries throwing in with that convict-looking chap that came out earlier.

Good stuff. Keep it up!

Wha....? Kaitos Deneb? Teaming up with Hydrus mercanaries? That could never happen! Could it?

Hmmmmm. Episode 6 of Captain Gamma and the Proton Rangers entitled The Asteroids of Death, may have an air of familiarity to you when you come to read it.  :)

As regards the Protectorate Guards I'm not sure when they will be available but it should be soon. They will be probably sold in sets of 3 rather than as individuals with 3 sets of arms each. :)

Nice big guys.
By the way, is it me or does the unpainted Captain Gamma look a lot like Sir Alec Guinness? Trust the force, captain!
