Greetings
hmmm .... amazons ... hasslefree ... hmmm ... great. And I love the setting too
The doom forgers look great too... but I'm afraid I just plain love those girls here.

Love that Blood Bowl team - but a Skaven on the same team as a halfling and three dwarves? Heresy! Lovely work on the whites, and I have to ask - what's the recipe for the bases? It's just the sort of basing look that I've been searching for (mostly for Old West, but also some Post Apocalypse stuff).

That's no skaven mate, that's a werewolf. =) It's the old Dungeon Bowl team Doom Forgers, from the box backside. The DB teams were mixed race teams. I believe I picked too obscure a subject for this round! =D
The bases are covered with very, very fine sand (I've sifted sand similar to beach sand). It's then painted with charadon granite (GW foundation), then overbrushed with some grey I can't remember and finally highlighted with a light drybrush of dheneb stone (GW foundation). Wouldn't make sense on an ordinary Blood Bowl team, but since these are for Dungeon Bowl I figured lush grassy bases would be a bit weird, but instead they look out of place with my regular gaming setup. Didn't think the old cardboard Dungeon Bowl tiles would be legal for a background.
Don't mind losing to those amazons though, great job and really nice scene Ollv!

Thanks. :)
I'm happy the 4 different manufacturers mix well together.
Nice skin tone and eyes phreedh.

Lovely work on the doom forgers mate - those whites are nice and crisp! 8)
Definitely have to use your pic for future reference for scenery Ollv as I have some of the old citadel amazons lined up for a future project. Nice brushwork too!

Thanks, Phreedh - and now that I look more closely at the werewolf, I can see the furry tail. He's clearly not a skaven! I'm embarrassed to have even mentioned it!
Thanks also for the basing recipe - it looks great. I'll be borrowing it for some models in the future. Lovely work on the white and blue. I love Blood Bowl - great game.

I was cursing them so profanely on a swedes only sub-board that I got in an interwebs fight with Galland! :) Those whites did NOT come easy, I can tell you that - and in the end they look mostly like flat skull white. :(

That's why the amount of yellow and green kept increasing on my team's kit!
Looking good for all your efforts though- Wonder how it might have played out if we'd been paired up for this round! :D

Phew, that was a harrowing experience! Good show, Ollv - glad I managed a draw. =)

Yeah, good luck to you. ;)
