Title: 17th cent port buildings?
Post by: hendybadger on 12 March 2012, 03:16:00 PM
As we start up Legends of the Hig Sea in the area I have been looking at building a couple of boards to use.

Where would be the best place to get my hands on 17th cent port style buildings?
(rubbish at scratch building)

Maybe you could put in a "wanted" request and see if anyone here could make some for you?
Or if anyone has any (old/no longer needed) surplus ones?

Or find a local school club and see if any of them can make buildings.

Ours are generally hopeless, but we have a couple of model railway fans have just joined and their building skills are pretty good.

what do you mean about rubbish at scratchbuildings? =)

Because i can provide you resin bits for all the details, and you can have a full ports with a cheaper price, but you still need some modelling skills!

EDIT: Actually, i can also assembly my own resin pieces for you with foam core for the walls, or with even better level of details... if you are interested you can PM me!

For the look of the finished pieces, it should be something like this:

cheers!

If you want lots of cheap buildings that are easy to put together and require no painting you may want to consider http://www.davesgames.net/ see also http://www.davesgames.net/catalog-maritime-buildings-bundle.htm for a more maritime theme.
