What is the new content in Strange Aeons #8? Thanks.

A new Arcane Relic: The Damned Altar. Your cultists can make blood sacrifices to be "blessed" by their dark overlords!

I see SA game mentioned in 3,4,5,6 and 8 (I think I counted them all), was there any other issues with something of interest?
Are these rules exclusive to the magazine or will they reappaer somewhere on the website or in an expansion from Uncle Mike?
Thinking of buying them to get the rules but I would rather save the money for minis if I can get the content at another time.

Coolio. I really like the Resonator; think it might be my favorite thing written for the game so far.

Please forgive my ignorance, but where is this information available? ???

I'm confused... #8? I thought there were just 2 issues out...

Strange Aeons is a magazine, they are on issue #8, they sometimes put content from Uncle Mike's Strange Aeons game into their magazine. The rest of the magazine is short stories, artwork, etc...all pretty much based in the same theme. I looked at each magazine to see what issues had articles of special things for the game.
My question is the content there exclusive or will it appear on the website or in some future issue of Shocking Tales?
This is not to be confused with Uncle Mike's "Shocking Tales" that is going on issue 3.

You're thinking of Shocking Tales. This is referring to Strange Aeons Magazine (no formal affiliation!), where we've published a series of two-page bonus rules. If you're into "modern" Lovecraftian fiction and comics, there should be plenty in each issue to keep you occupied outside of our contributions.
To date, here's the SA game content:
#3 - Arcane Relic: The King in Yellow
#4 - Season's Beatings - Random Holiday Happenings
#5 - Arcane Relic: The Resonator
#7 - Arcane Relic: The Devil's Cauldron
#8 - Arcane Relic: The Damned Altar
In terms of reprinting, we'll probably stick them in either Von Unaussprechlichen Culten or SA 2nd Edition. No definitive timetable is set for either, but anticipate late 2013 at the absolute earliest.

Ah, ok... that makes sense... I'll have to pick some of the issues up!

Yea, I may have to order a few magazines.

Whats this about: #3 - Arcane Relic: The King in Yellow??

I'd like to see the 2nd Edition sooner rather than later! There's some rules clarifications from the FAQ that could be built into it, the new weapons, promotions, animals....I'd love to see it.
I, for one, would not be bitter that I own every scrap of UMW-released Strange Aeons material and would be buying the 2nd edition...most games like this that are "living" are bound to be revised and it's worth owning the Shocking Tales just for the Black Dossier stuff. I hope UMW eventually puts out some dinosaur models, though....trying to find suitable ones isn't easy.

Kids toy dinosaurs are great and often cheap.
Look on wikipedia for how long/tall those are and divide it with /56 or /50, to find sutible 28-32mm size. then go hunting.
If you want high quality models with details and so forth this can be the wrong options. but as im a poor sob, I can live with plastic/rubber dinosaurs.

I just bought a Trex and Triceritops at Dollar General, hard plastic for a buck each. The Rex is a little small, but i can say it is a young one or one of the smaller ones...the key is that it will look good on the table with some repaint. I found some Cavemen that are 1.5 inches online hard plastic (like the army men) while not 100% to scale may do in a pinch unless I can justify spending money of cavemen.

Never thought I would say this, some of those cheap plastic monsters are great for one off games, or for making special theme games for an evening.
Justifying spending $100+ on real miniatures dinosaurs is just to much for my wallet, when the idea is running the Lost Walley Black Dossier once or twice!
I somehow even think that the plastic toy animals, will just add mood for the cheesy setup of elephant-gun armed dinosaur hunters, doing some pulp action!
Btw Copplestone Castings have some excellent cavemen!
