Title: 10/15mm French Foreign Legion Advice
Post by: doug6125 on March 30, 2012, 03:37:39 AM
Another brief question before I commit to buying figures.  does anyone game in either 10 or 15mm for colonial north africa and if so what rules and figures do you use?  I was considering Minifig FFL with Soldiers of the Queen rules.

Principles of War has Foreign Legion lists for Algeria and later colonial scraps. My French fight Samouri Taure in Guinea. Perfect for 10mm or 15mm. Great set of rules.

Doug,

Miniature Figurines 15 mm French Foreign Legion, available in the UK, is a decent range and gives you pretty much all you need to game the period.  Stone Mountain in the US has some additional figures that mix well with them.  Irregular also have some nice figures but they are bigger so you'd want them in separate units if you used them.  And with Minifigs you get both Touareg and Bedouin specific figures as well as mule mounted figures.  I have loads of figures for the period waiting in the unpainted pile (mostly - a few I acquired already painted).
