Title: Zelewski's Last Stand
Post by: Chris Dale on 01 April 2012, 02:27:29 PM
Hello folks,

I recently wrote an article on the Battle of Lugalu, von Zelewski's last stand. The action is between the German Schutztruppe and the Wahehe in 1891. I thought it might be of interest to some of you-

Thanks, Chris. I was just thinking the other day that we hadn't heard from you for a while. I find myself on your site pretty much every week.  :)

According to Norton your website is a big threat to me, otherwise I'd be well interested   :'(

Computers! What can you do?  ::)

Loved the article!  Especially the slanted reporting from an "unfriendly source" that seemed OOT.  Wonder how those words tasted in 1914?

Gracias,

Glenn

Excellent work there

I could easily add Colonial Officers to my "Explorers" and do this or something similar against clubmates' Native forces

Thanks very much for all the positive feedback, glad you liked it. I'll start work on more of those then...

I'm not a gamer myself but I was wondering from a gaming perspective is this the right kind of background information you need to set up a scenario? Is there anything I'm missing from a gamer's point of view?

I'm not sure why Norton would object to my website. Does it give a reason? I've got a similar thing with Avast Anti-Virus where they rate websites for me. This Forum gets a "zero" from them as does my own website. Both seem harmless to be, yet Avast doesn't explain further...

Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,

Your site has been a reference for years. Many thanks. I think the article is fine for wargames scenarios as is. Don't know what else you could add.

Very cool, thanks for sharing.  As to your question, perfect for scenario information wouldn't change a thing.  Looks like the Germans might be moving to the top of the painting queue.

Thanks very much for the positive words people. I'd be curious to hear how the battle works out on the game board. Can anyone do better than von Zelewski and last more than 15 minutes?

Cheers

Excellent! I acquired all of the Copplestone German offerings about a month ago, so this is timely and really interesting.
