Hello!
I just want to inform you that I and my second cousin have started a historical wargaming blog that initially will focus on the Napoleonic wars. It will include us learning Napoleonics wargaming thru Republic to Empire and the building of a French and Prussian division (Brigade) for the German war of liberation 1813-1814.
As we are learning and painting we are going to participate in discussions on this forum and we hope that you will find our efforts interesting.
Please visit us at: http://ploughsharestoswords.blogspot.se/ (http://ploughsharestoswords.blogspot.se/) for many more pictures.
Regards,
Anders the elder (General de Brigade) and Anders the younger (Generalmajor zu Brigade)

Nice painting! I have really become interested in the 1813-1814 period myself in the last couple of years. If you are looking for some good background reading you can't beat F. Loraine Petre's "Napoleon's Last Campaign in Germany, 1813"" and "Napoleon at Bay, 1814". You can download both for free from archive.org.

Hello again,
Thank you for all the kind comments. I hope that you find our blog interesting as we are planning to add a lot more content every week.
I find the 1813-1814 the most fascinating period of the Napoleonic wars and I have actually been looking for "Napoleons last campaign", so thanks for that! I just finished reading "Swords around the throne" and strongly recommend it.
Regards,
Anders the elder

I totally agree with you! When the LPL is over I´ll have to go back painting some Prussians. Nice blog, too. Very inspiring.

Hi,
There is now a picture basing guide on the blog for both the prussians and french. We are going to go and have a R2E game on Monday, so keep an eye out for a post about our thoughts and "in-action" pictures.
As always thanks for the comments, hope you find this as fun and interesting as we do.
