who sculpted those eggs ? They look great... Did they have lots of flash ?
Happy Easter and thanks for this brilliant idea :)
-
Those eggs are not based properly! ;)
Happy Easter.
-

It's the mould release you've got to watch out for.
-
couldn't resist, voted for the eggs! And ... no undead, remember? ;D
On the other hand ... I do not like to get faces!! >:(
best wishes and happy easter again!

Great eggs Braxandur, my favourite is the orange one. Happy easter!
-
Great entries, guys! That Hierotitan looks good, Pil. That bright red adds a nice colour to the model. The other models look very nice as well :) Those eggs are just, well, eggcellent lol Love the creative idea, Brax!
Happy easter, everyone.
-
I like how Braxandur has carefully matched his paint schemes from the Osprey book Eggs of the Eastern Front (Special Forces) 1941-5 :)
-
That's Eggs Of the Easter Front!!!
Great work Phil!
-
Very funny, but it will only work once.
-
Happy Easter to all of you as well.
I have to say that I was pleasantly suprised with the lack of flash and very happy to have found no release agent from the production channel.... lol
Great work on the undead Pil. Did you put the same design on the hierotitans clothing as on the necromancer? Really like how this set turned out, great job! Btw, also liked the orange one most myself :)
-
Love the eggs - very funny and appropriate entry for the week.
Who makes that giant Liche figure? I like it!
-
Really good job on those patterns, Pil! I'll second the question about manufacturer for the Hierotitan.
Brax, massive credit for those eggs and the guts to venture outside the scope of the competition!
-
Not a fan of the eggs, they suffer from too much scale creep.
-
The undead giant is a grenadier model now available from mirliton:

-
I think it's the old grenadier giant lich? If you are talking about the giant thing
-
And the Flash beat me to it, go figure!
-
Thanks for the comments all!

The patterns are not identical, the colours of the clothing is also a bit different, with the Necromancer's robes being based on Citadel Foundation Dheneb Stone and the Hierotitan's robes based on VMC Khaki, the end result is rather similar though. The Necromancer has a greenish simple meander border like the second one from the bottom in this example:

The titan has a more complex meander with swastika's in them in black. You can see an example if you click this link, as I'm not too sure whether or not it's allowed to post the picture here:

As for the model, I'm 99% certain it's an old Grenadier model. Mirliton doesn't seem to stock it but it looks like their "Half Giant Liche Lord" was based on the same model:

It's a rather nice model which I picked up cheaply on eBay and doesn't seem to go for very much there, but it's not really common either. He's also rather flat but that doesn't show in the pictures and he makes a nice Hierotitan for Warhammer 8th edition Tomb Kings armies 8)

Silly to have these pitted against finely painted miniatures. Humour or not.
-
Exactly this silly entry makes the LPL fun and special.
The finely painted miniatures are winning, so all is fine !

Take it easy, some fun has not done harm to anybody yet.

WOW! The eggs are really a brilliant idea! lol

Hmm, guess I should have looked a bit more closely at the figure lol
Now I need one as well o_o

I normally vote but don't post because I have been left speechless by both of the entries, but I have to thank Braxander for providing a moment of levity amidst the serious business of deciding which way to cast my votes.

I think they would have got more votes if they'd been placed in eggcups. ;)
Great idea. :)
And the Hierotitan are very well painted.
