Superb Dr M. I knew that was your entry as soon as i looked at it. You are the master storyteller in your entries. Very well done.
Love those Copplestone cave people (in fact, i might even have painted a few myself for this LPL ;))
-
Another cracking round,well done both!
-
This is a close match up - love those stone age miniatures, and the skin tones are wonderfully done, but I also love the detail on the Heavy Metal entry, plus I've always loved the Star Moguls models (the two in the foreground, called something else now - Salvage Crew?). When all else is equal (and in this case, the two entries are top notch) it's things like story and so on that start to sway my vote, and I love the sense of narrative in the Heavy Metal entry (and the use of the baby doll's head as a piece of terrain - superb!)
It's another one of those defining LPL6 matchups, though - so close to call!
-
Love the story implied with heavy metal.
-
Damn this was the hardest one to vote this week, both excellent entries.
-
Great team Dr.M!
Corroded baby-dolls are 2nd only to clowns for creepiness ;) Very fun setting
-
Wow :o

Really nice entry LF. I really like the clarity of your painting and the 'family group' for the cave people is a great idea. Most people seem to paint them with tattoos, I prefer your look myself. Cool setting too.
Star Moguls models (the two in the foreground, called something else now - Salvage Crew?)
Correct, the two closest are Salvage Crew figures- now available from Mega Minis. They're a neat range of Necromunda-ish space scum that I've been meaning to paint up for a while now. The guy with the grinder isn't stock though- he has a headswap from a Heroclix Thug and I gave him an iPod and earbuds with greenstuff.
The Lead Adventure Atomic Mob were a lot of fun to paint, and surprisingly they took me a LOT longer than my samurai entries. Pretty much lost my lead time on this entry, it will be down to the wire from here o_o
Thanks for the comments all, appreciated!

The new head looks great, Dr Mathias, and the iPod conversion is inspired! I love the chunk of the baby statue's head lying on the ground where he's just chopped it out with the angle grinder - fantastic!
-
This was a really, REALLY tough decision. Closest match of the round for me. Apologies that I can't vote for both!

-
Superb match-up! Both excellent.
-
The difference in voting totals DOES NOT reflect how close this match really is.
I was a really hard job to choose JUST ONE of the two GREATLY PAINTED entries.
Best wishes to both.
-
Amazing quality on both entries.
-
Two brilliant pictures! I like the way you paint iron, DrMathias…a really good inspiration for me.
-
Great staging (<- hope it's the good word ???) Dr Mathias ...
-
LF, I really enjoyed your cavepeople entry and am looking forward to seeing what else you do in future rounds. Good luck in your next match!
-
Thanks Dr.M!
I loved your team and your terrain set up is nothing short of inspirational, looking forward to seeing what else you have in store.
Good luck in the weeks ahead and your shot at going undefeated :D
