With all those tentacles and being an anime otaku... do I even WANT to know what their crime might have been? lol lol lol
-
Hilarious photo of the Usual Suspects :D

Greetings
Pariah, I like the rust effect on the treasure chest.
Oh I would like to see some sort of Demon CSI once in a while lol Great work.
Thank you
Jo

I'm pretty sure Nyarlathotep did it, great figures and funny setting. Parriah, those models look ancient! Very characterful, where (and when) are they from?
-
lol lol lol
@ suspects
if it wasn't for the title this time, I would have thought, that the numbers were ment for the voters - to know where one tentacle end, and another begins :D
best wishes
DK

That's a lot of sanity points to lose all at once lol

A great collection of aliens & monsters and the setting for the picture is genius lol
-
not related to voting, but the guy with the treasure chest on his back was the first mini I ever got. 30 years ago :o
Nice to see someone still loves the old lead.

Thanx, I tried harder on these, but don't seem to be up to snuff yet.
To my fellow entrant, NICE! I like these better than any others that have squashed me flat so far!

They are all Pre 1985 TSR Grenadier official AD&D figs. The pony is from the LoTR set, The 2 guys w/ chest are from a set called adventurers, The one guy w/ chest on back is from set called dungeon crawlers, etc. I have said before, I still have all of the minis I ever bought, except a couple here and there who got lost somehow. But I repainted them for this contest.

I love the lovecraftian monsters, great work! Y'golonac is my favourite. The background is an interesting touch, too.

I remember that packtrain set from my AD&D days, and yes, thirty years ago is about right. Wow. Nice to see them again.
So many tentacles .....
-
Thanks for the moments.
In fact the guilty is Paty Noarthel, guess who is it ?
@Parriah: I agree, good to see old minis. I think, 80's mini ont une âme [have a soul] (<- french expression, don't know if it has a sense in english)
-
I thought this one was cool!
They have smudged faces, dirty boots and cloths, the weapons and shields are battered and used, in short, they are alive, and that's what I thought was wanted here. I'm still trying, and am still psyched to be in the thing.

have a soul. And yes a lot of older minis have a soul, seemed to have that "otherness" that made them special. Perhaps because in those days nothing was as industrialized as it is today. Perhaps because the models wouldn't be known to the world instantly.
Today, with the internet and online photography you'll see every flaw or otherness or whatever prior to buy something. And if there are no pictures there is still the online community. You'll refute them or love them. And there will still be the one or other sculpt which won't be "mainstream" which you'll love and others not. And that will be great.
