Title: Pulp Slang
Post by: Weird WWII on 25 January 2008, 02:01:46 PM
You can't have pulp gaming without taunting your opponent in 30s hardboiled slang.

Enjoy,
Brian

Some of that vocab is still alive. Someone just yesterday asked if I was "jake" with the proposed dinner plans; (Jake in this case used as "agreeable to" not the "money" definition given in the linked list.)

I also use "mug" and "goon" as they are in that list; learned from my grandfather.
