Seriously... last time I posted, the earliest historical gallery was the Spanish Civil War! It's nice to see growth!
I've painted boatloads of vikings over the last long time... These are all based for Kings of War historicals (http://www.hourofwolves.org/?view=articles&which=KingsOfWarHistoricalAncientCombat), my own army lists built for Mantic's Kings of War rules. Here are a few:

Mix of Wargames Factory and Gripping Beast parts. The thing about gripping beast that puts me off a bit is all the chainmail; there simply wasn't that much available back then to put your whole army into it! So, I needed some WF bondi to fill the gaps.

The huscarls/hirdmen form the elite in the army! All Gripping Beast except the dramatic killing, which is old-school Old Glory.

More Gripping Beast!

All the three GB hird/karl units forming a mighty shieldwall!
Check out many more pictures in my Swedish Viking Gallery (http://www.hourofwolves.org/?view=armies&which=swedeViking&thumbs=1) on my site.
Thanks guys!

fantastic- lovely bright colours.
BTW_ Gripping Beasts are soon about to release a box of hairy spearmen without chain mail- suitable for just about any DA army.
-
I like your Norsemen, good bright colors. However, some of them are either quite dirty or have a bad case of sun tan :)
I also have to note a profound lack of horned helmets and met drinking horns! (Yes I know it's not historically accurate!) ;)

Great painting! Are the shield designs handpainted?

:-* I love these. Fantastic colours and I like the mix of Gripping Beast and Wargames Factory. I wasn't a fan of the wargames factory plastics but you've made them look great. Saved for inspiration!
