Title: Corporal Schiess and Reverend Smith
Post by: SgtMcNab on April 23, 2012, 05:39:27 PM
Hi Guys,

More work in progress shots of the Rorke's Drift Defenders packs from Empress.  These just need to be varnished and based.

I tried to highlight the black a kind of green/grey colour to match the description quoted in one of Ian Knight's books about the coat being black but faded green.

I don't think I got this right, but I'm happy with the figures

Cheers

Andy

Youve done it again. Super stuff. I really like the Revs coat. Ill hold back on the swearing coz I know it would upset him.

Thanks forthe comments Guys.

M Blakey - There are no blues on these figures.  The overcoat on Reverend Smith is black.  I tried to lighten with Vallejo Grey Green to show the coat fading into a green colour but it didn't work!!

The blues on the Dalton and Artillery figures is Americana Deep Midnight Blue mixed with black for the first coart, then the blue on its own for the second and a final highlight of blue mixed with a very tiny amount of Vallejo Iraqi Sand.

Thanks again

Andy
