Title: One-man-and sculpt for minisculpture forum competition
Post by: Andrew May on 25 April 2012, 12:31:22 AM
Sorry, I'm not sure where to post this, mov if needed Mr Moderator!

It's been a struggle finishing him in time, especially in between commissions but he's finished at long last. I'm very pleased with how he's turned out, very few things niggling me about him which is a nice feeling.
Hats are the bane of my life as usual.

I also made a cymbal for the drum but it wouldn't fit right so it's been left off. (http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/7411/2012042410.jpg)

All done with Uro polymerclay grey/whitemix.
As usual he's for sale, PM me here or andrewjohnmay1983 AT googlemail DOT com
Hope that you enjoy it and wish me luck!

That's a great model, Andrew.

I don't think I've seen a real life one-man band in ages.

That's brilliant Andrew!! :o :o As has been said, a great figure with bags of character. The only thing is I don't know what I'd use him for ??? ::)

I take it this isn't your first sculpt? Do you have any pictures of your other sculpts?

Thanks for that link Andrew, you've got some great stuff there!! I especially love your Tibetan Demons and clown figures!

I think I'll need to spend a wee bit of time on that site, I'd never heard of it before. Cheers!

Great sculpt. Bags of character. Looks like 1 of those figs you dont know what you need it for but you know you want 1.
Now who does the morris dancers? Is it Gripping beast/Woodbine?

That fella is great, Andrew!
Love him!
 :-*

Full of character with a great sense of movement and the weight of the drum is apparent from the pose.
Very original, every VBCW regiment should have its own one-man-band.....
