Title: Astounding Tales Card deck
Post by: joroas on 27 April 2012, 11:48:05 PM
http://www.thevirtualarmchairgeneral.com/345-Card%20Decks.html#AT2Deck

I would like a set of these, but $17 postage on a $10 item seems excessive.  Anyone know where else I can get them from?

Thanks

Well, the lovely Patrick at TVAG said that he could send it slower for $5, but $16.95 is the standard cost for him of air mail, courtesy of USPS.

They arrived today, seven days after being posted.  I am impressed with the quality and service.

It's all your fault, Mr Joroas! At least that's what I'll tell my wife when she kicks me in the gentlemen vegetables for ordering more Gaming goodies  :D

I've been tempted to get Astounding Tales for a while but all your talk of action decks just pushed me over the edge. Cards & rules finally ordered. Looking forward to getting them as heard nothing but good things about the rules.

The Astounding Adventures are good too.  Whoo could fail to love the ultimate Pulp of AA3, where the heroes are Bing and Bob landing on an island to face every type of Pulp assailant that you could fit in a film!!!!  :D

The safari and river event decks are fantastic too. We use them for darkest africa games!

I think the solution to the problem is at the bottom of the page. There is an offer of a FREE fifth deck for purchasers of four other decks of equal or greater value. So all we need to do is order four decks, get our fifth deck free, and then the postage won't seem so excessive.

Agreed? ;)
