Title: New art work
Post by: Weird WWII on January 29, 2008, 02:43:45 AM
Well just got my art work for a t-shirt design for my Battleground Weird War II.    It was done by Eric Rose (www.erikrose.com/) so if you need some great looking art check him out and tell him Brian sent ya.

She needs a berret and some onions!

French resistance stereotype not withstanding.

Her clothes are not period. That detracts from the overall effect. Otherwise, a classic (dare I say cliché) scene, well done.

Though the woman not fitting the scene, it feels very much like the Heavy Metal movie.

Well done.

Maybe she's a time-traveller.

She is after all dressed somewhat like a mid-60s Doctor Who assistant.

She wouldn't be half as appealing if she was dressed differently.

There's nothing to say you can't show a bit of leg and keep it in a 40s style, though:

Wouldn't she make a great 28mm fig? <hint> <hint> <sculptors out there> <hint> <hint>

Yeah I purposely made her a bit more modern then WWII to just add to the whole "WEIRD" aspect.  Kinda wish I had seen that pic before as she would have made a great subject for the piece.

It's still a great picture, mate. And there's nothing to say that Nazi zombies have to be in the 40s. They may have been shut in a meat locker for twenty years, and that silly girl just went and accidentally let them all out.

Steady on, you cheeky beggar! Don't let her catch you saying that. She wasn't even born when that photo was taken, let alone old enough to wield an MP40.
