Very nice wolves. The yellow eyes and subtle blood around the mouths looks great but not over done. :-*
-
Just Stunning! Really Big Frank they are lovely. Really nice.
Cheers
Andy
-
Love the wolves.
Are those logs moulded under the forepaws or something you added?
-
Thanks for the comments.
@ fastolfrus, the logs are moulded to the fore paws.
Cheers BF :)
-
Boy, those are mean looking wolves.
Great painting, love them.
-
Looking good, excellent painting! I wish they would have done Holmes w/o the deerstalker cap but you gotta love that Watson!
Or, at least, a version thereof. However, I thought the coat was considered beyond the pale as well. Still, a) I've no problem with a little revisionist image now and then, b) a quick chop and add of a tophat would be a conversion even my fumble fingers could tackle. At least, it's the archetype misrepresentation, and they didn't switch genders...
In spite of our store sponsoring the local Zombie Walk, er Fest, I'm of the curmudgeonly group who feel their a bit overdone. However, your cheerful lads certainly can fire the enthusiasm, one more time.
They, and those fine lupine figures, should give our intrepid heroes plenty of pause, while 'their blood ran cold...' ;->=
Excellent! We want to hear of them at play! Any plans for distressed damsels?

Brilliant stuff. Posts like this make it hard to go paint to my mediocre standard...guess I'll wait another hour... :D

-
Thanks to everyone for all the kind comments.
@ obsidian3d, I have'nt played yet. Once a get a couple of factions painted up and some terrain done, I'll be having a few games with my sons.
I've started on a Gentlemen's faction. I'm using some Design28 minis.
Here's the President, vice President and a member.

Hmm... The good doctor appears rather encumbered in the site image; looking at him from different angles, does he appear weighed down to the point of reduced mobility?
With that lupine crowd, everyone must be on their toes! :D

Silly me not reading just scanning down the pics and not looking at the words. Doh! Thought it was some kind of carriage or something. lol
-
That new Westwind Watson is my favorite of the metallic offerings of the good doctor and you've done him up rare fine.
As far as encumbrance goes, I'm sure his opening broadside involves heaving that lantern at whatever is coming at him.
-
Thanks again for all the kind comments.
2 more members finished.

-
Gorgeous. I love your panting style. :-*
-
Lovel your painting as ever Frank, but those aren't the nicest of sculpts one has to say.
What's next sir?
-
aggro84 & Commander Vyper, thanks for the comments.
@ Commander Vyper the sculpts are'nt that bad, I think it maybe the angle of my pic's thats not really doing them justice. The mini's themselves are kind of cartoony looking but its nice to paint something different now and again.
Next up is another Gentlemen faction, using the Lead Adventure mini's as Sons Of The Empire. After that I'll start my Frankenstein faction.
Cheers BF :)
-
Ok maybe a few action shots with them will help, but to my they look a little 'fat controller' in pose. ;)
-
but to my they look a little 'fat controller' in pose. ;)
I think they look more Camberwick Green, Chigley or Trumptonish. Now that would give Cuthbert,Dibble and Grub something to think about. :o
-
Yea h but who screwed barney magrew? :D
-
Painted this up as a possible mad doctor for my Frankenstein faction.
Its a limited edition SoTR 2010 tourney mini.
I've got this Reaper mini as a possible for the monster but have got a couple of other mini's on the workbench at the moment. I'll post pics when they're painted.
Sorry if the pic's are a tad blurry, I'll post better ones later.
Cheers BF :)
-
Nicely Nicely Vincent Pricely (still jealous LoL)
-
Lovely Paint jobs on these the splatter on the gown is very realistic
-
Very nice. I especially like the Reaper mini though. You did a great job painting him up! :-*
-
Sorry I missed them earlier, but 'they don't look like no gentlemen to me!' lol
The Reaper fig's paint IS dear to my heart. So close to the edge, and yet, not quite cartoony. Masterful!
I'm thinking the doctor best have a dart gun with Thorazine handy, though.
Doug
-
Top notch painting. The construct model looks especially good.
-
Nice Frank, very nice indeed. I was thinking about maybe a lycan basis for the monster's faction. Heresy ghouls to replace wolves. Or again gw chaos hounds the rotten ones. Pack mentality rule would work too. Time to rummage through the boxes again I reckon ;)

Well if you're going with Reaper anyways try their undead hounds.

@ Brummie Thug & v lazy dragon.
They're new releases for EoTD should be on the webstore soon.
-
Ooooh! I hope'd you say that :)
-
Very nice, great brushwork on all of them. I particularly like the Peelers and Lestrade miniatures. ;D
-
You have such a nice blending technique. It's really superb, and those models look like really nice sculpts.
-
Lovely additions, BF!
:-*
I really like the idea of some armed Monks with attitude.
-
Fantastic!
-
G'awd bless 'er!
Doug
-
Great paintjobs Big Frank! :-*
The minis look great.
-
Great to see some new figures for EotD, and fantastic paintwork.
The Queen Victoria figures was a bit of a surprise though! It will be interesting to see how she would fit into our games.
I am hoping they do some new thralls and nosferatu, and some new gentleman types as I am sure we are all looking to increase our faction sizes by now!?
-
Great painting job on them, Frank, well done!
-
Anyone have any idea on release date? Things seem to have been rather silent from Westwind on the EOTD front lately...
-
Last news I had from Wendy was "Q4 2012" ... hope they'll be released before Xmas :D
-
I must say this is possibly some of, if not the best painting I have ever seen
-
As has been said, fantastic painting! :o :o
It might be worth having a dark background in your pictures instead of white to show off your minis better?
-
Pre production, Nadezhda Durova, kickstarter limited edition mini.

-
Very nice mate, Like the miniature even more now she has a coat of paint.
-
Very cool mini and the paint job looks great.
:-*
-
Great!
-
Great paintwork, but the figure just reminds me of a version of that stupid Necromunda character with those ridiculous pigtails... :-[
-
Mad Donna Ulanti :D. Great model, very 90s. I like Nadezhda, lovely paintjob! Why do you already have one, I'm in envy ;)
-

It's a pre production mini. Mr Copper sent it up for a quick lick of paint.
Cheers BF :)
