Title: Peter Pig: Pieces Of Eight
Post by: Cherno on 06 May 2012, 03:00:21 PM
Does anyone have any experience with the Pieces Of Eigth rules by Peter Pig? The concept seems interesting, 1/450 scale ship to ship combat and 15mm land actions plus a "mini campaign" included in the rulebook... I love campaign gaming :)

Anyone ever played this?

Not played it, but I've got a copy of the rules, 2 ships and a load of figures tucked away in a cupboard somewhere.  The rules looked really good when I got them.   Must dig them out again and have another look through them.

I, too, have the rules but have never played them.  And don't expect to.  I find the rules provide some ideas but just not my style of game.  And I'm afraid I can say that for the other Peter Pig rules I own (Sudan and Old West).  All have good ideas but not the style of rules I like.  However, I've seen write ups by others that seemed to enjoy the rules (can't point you to where I saw them because I don't recollect.)  I did use a similar basing system of 3 figures to a base for my 15 mm collection of pirates, 30 crews of 48 figures each so far (not all pirates, of course).
