Title: Mammutjäger
Post by: abu iskander on 13 May 2012, 08:38:46 PM: Once a period i never imagined painting or playing, I have discarded my prejudices against cavemen games. If my young boy likes it, it's a good game.

So, here is our first game. Skrog and Foq's mammoth hunt.

The valley of the tusked ones at dawn.

Fire scares beasts.

Skrog's flint is sharp. A lucky shot fells a beast.

The last beast moves uphill.

Never thought I'd have the urge to play a mammoth hunt game, but now suddenly I can't think of anything else...

Nice game with nice minis and terrain!

Post by: abu iskander on 14 May 2012, 08:38:01 PM: I built the smoke out of steel wool which I spray painted. I glue-gunned it to steel washers and then applied some acrylic "water gel" (ironically) to make the flames. This guy's method is pretty similar and he has a lot of good stuff on his site:

Experimenting a bit with my photography against a totally white background. Hope they don't look weird or "off" in some way.
