Title: Esoteric tracked loveliness
Post by: Ballardian on 21 May 2012, 02:32:01 PM
I thought that I'd drag this thread over from WWII in the hope of garnering a few more opinions;
 how far are you prepared to go to get hold of 28mm/1/56 scale models, in this case, of tank exotica?
Agis brought up the good point that the costs involved in producing 28mm compatible tanks can be considerable, after all, enough people would have to be prepared to part with their cash in order for the manufacturer to consider it & while I don't doubt their love of the subject for companies like JTFM, the man has to pay his bills like the rest of us.
So, essentially what I'm saying is;
1. Would you be prepared to pledge to buy.
2. What tanks (& perhaps we should keep it to tanks for the moment) would you like to see.
3. You're really prepared to pay for this to happen aren't you?
I'll start the ball rolling with my wish list;
E-100 (with both the turret options)
E-25
E-50
Panther F with a schmalturm & coelian turret
Maus
 Ok, over to you....

Great discussion topic, thanks for bringing it up. As an addition, would people be more likely to support a Kickstart.com type of effort, or would they rather support a more traditional "100 Club" approach work once it was determined how many kits would be required before production was started on the project??

Glad to see some interest out there, I'd happily support either of those approaches if it meant getting my hands on those models.

Well, if I get commissioned to make them, I'll happily do masters of vehicles- I have done a few in the past. I just don't want to be saddled with the actual production of the kits...
