No. No new miniatures for Bruegelburg. Only some conversion work :D
Started today with some conversion of our Bruegelburg miniatures, trying to make a sort of Witch Hunter gang. This is the first one. Quite funny, I think, I like it.
Brother Armanius, the feared priest of the Holy Church of the Sankt Bruegel, merciless persecutor of infidels and his faithful fighting pig Argus.
All parts are from LAM, the body is a Warrior Priest (BRU-21), the head is of a Landsknecht (BRU-31), the pig is Bruegelburg one as well (BRU-17). The books are form the Dwarves range, from the pack with the Librarian (DWA-01). The chain is from my bitz box.

That is a fantastic concept.
Great execution and simply genius inspiration with the pig!
Love it!

Simple yet effective 8)

Not quite convinced about this lol

Not quite convinced about this lol
Oh, ye of little faith!
BURN HIM!
-
Not quite convinced about this lol
Never doubt of the faith of a righteous and honest pig, my friend!
-
Very cool. :-*
Prof, what were under the influence of when you thought of this? lol
Seriously though, I don't know if it was intentional, but it reminds me of something you would see in a weird medieval symbolist painting.
Very nice!
-
Awesome conversion. Cast it up. :D
-
Can we expect other animals to get this treatment?
Love it. lol
-
Yes!!! This is fabulous!!!! Can't wait to see more! :-* :-* :-* :-*
-
Excellent work, Prof!

Yes, sure, it was and I was thinking of John Blanche paintings making this
-
Love the imagination. Can't wait to see more of these guys.
-
Mint tea :)
Anybody know where I can get hold of Mint Tea, its obviously good stuff lol
Nice idea Alex
-
I want one too, please!
That's great!

next one..Sister Cornelia, the deadly pickaxe, this time the body from Atomic Mob 1 (PA-13), the head from the Mad Griet (BRU-09) and the pickaxe from the Dwarves Mine Explorer (DWA-07)

Cool, I always thought that figure has Bruegelburg potential. I may do something similar with mine.
-
I always wanted to do something special with this preacher figure, it just has too much character and definitely belongs on a cart pulled by some strange draught animals. Here is it. It’s still a lot to do, still unsure how to connect the animals with the cart, just using chains or perhaps building a sort carriage. So if you have ideas, don’t hesitate to tell me.

the list of the parts (mostly our Lead Adventure stuff):
- preacher (BRU-21)
- pigs (BRU-17)
- rats (PA-26)
- road sign (BRU-10)
- lamp (DWA-05)
- books (DWA-01)
- beggar (BRU-08)
- rat on the top of the road sign (cut off from the dwarf rat catcher’s bag, DWA-04)
- wheels (GW plastic shields )
- cart/wooden board (GW siege equipment)
-
I like that idea 8) 8)
Maybe really oversized yokes for the 'draft' animals would be a good idea, in keeping with the feel.
cheers

Very nifty. And that is a good use of that old Citadel shield as a wheel - I have rather a large number of those things lying around here, but not many spare wheels...

same here, some hundreds of GW plastic shields from various armies. I guess I could build something using only GW shields :)

Roman tortoise Brueglburg style :D

Roman tortoise Brueglburg style :D
not bad idea at all, Jim :D

I misread the title as "preaching cat". And it's a fine, imaginative conversion but I've got that cat in my head, now!
-
Steve, that isn't that wrong as the final version will have a little cat too :)
-
Prof: I feel that you should give the Mint Tea a rest. It is obviously warping your powers of reason!
Failing that, let us all know where we can get your brand, as this is brilliant!
:D

no idea, ask my wife, she goes shopping :)

Really really like it... personally i dont "feel" the giant rats combined with warrior priest, and would stick to just pigs myself... but overall very nice!

Agree, have thought about it too and already replaced the rats with pigs.
-
That is a most excellent mobile homiletic conveyance.
-
Love that cart.
-
Keeping to the religious theme - I reckon that in true Noah's ark style there should be lots of animals but these animals should be in pairs :)
-
Great idea, Alex! The shield-wheels have the right size, but I think they are much too thin. I would suggest to double them up by glueing two together for some thickness.
:)
-
good idea, Michael, will do, thanks :)
-
I was meeting some LAFers this weekend and did finally paint the first conversion.
-
Beautiful. :-*
I still love that conversion. :D
-
I love the black pig!
You know, these conversions were so good, you should have had them cast up as an addition to the range. :)
-
lol lol lol
Love it!
:-* :-* :-*
-
Just wondering, but wouldn't a witchhunter suspect a black pig to be in league with the devil? ;)

that's the point, the daemon in the black pig has been subdued and is now in the service of the Holy Church of Sankt-Bruegel :D

I really like the character you gave to the face of that pig. Great stuff.
-
thanks to all for the kind comments! Next one is coming. I will post the photos of the painted Sister Cornelia today afternoon.
-
Gorgeous work there, Alex. You've quite an imagination, and we are the better for it! :)
-
Sister Cornelia, the Deadly Pickaxe!
-
Fantastic work again Alex :-*
Both pictures have a story to tell 8)
cheers
