Hi all, I am putting the call out to collectors of classic 1980's giants from Ral Partha to Citadel to help me with a special project.
I am currently sculpting close reproductions of weapons based on originals from my collection. These are fresh sculpts, subtly different (for obvious reasons), but carefully matched to fit the original hands with shrinkage factored in. My tapered weapons all feature elongated handles so they can be trimmed down to fit.
My goal is to recreate all the commonly lost weapons so restorers and collectors can resurrect their darlings.
Currently I have most of the early C28 weapons done- sword, wood stump club, axe, banded mace, dragon tooth club.
Later bigger C28- wooden club
Ral partha stone giant club.
If there are any classic giants you think need this love, post pictures!
If you have original parts, post pictures next to ruler or on graph paper from as many angles as you can!

I think some pictures will help.

Four weapon variants.
I have the "Huge Axe" of the later giants, I'll snap some pictures for you.
While looking for pictures I also found this spectacular photograph here:

The small blue squares are 5mm square. The ruler is in millimetres. If you need a bigger picture send me a PM, Photobucket shrinks it down a bit 8)

Thanks for the ref! Best giant picture ever!
Hammer is done.
Added to my work in progress list:
To fit ad&d minotaur double bitted axe replica.
To fit Lone wolf giak attack Ghourgaz axe replica.
Any other suggestions?
Does anyone have a ninefingers torso, bone weapon or nobbler head for trade or sale? Pm me if you do!
-
Sorry, can't help you there. I actually have nine fingers (the one with nine fingers, called nine fingers in the top picture and witherwattle in the bottom picture) with the knobber head and the axe (not the bone club). But I'd like to keep him 8)
