Sorry about the title, didn't know how else to put it.
When a link is included in a post, it looks just like regular text. If it isn't set apart from a paragraph but rather included in the "flowing text", a reader can easily look over it and not notice he can click on it.
If it would be possible to mark links in a way that makes them more noticeable, such as underlined or in a different color, that wouzld be great :) I'm pretty sure that's how most other phpbb forums do it, in fact LAF is the only one in which I have noticed this issue.
Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to hearing how other think about it

Agreed 100%, perhaps just italics and/or underlining are enough, but a different colour would ensure that everyone know right away that it is a link.

I generally nest underline tags within the url tags.

I mostly use another color for the link, sometimes underlines.
You just need to nest the tags as Froggy said.

I have used underlines and/or italics in the past, burt sometimes I forget it and then I either don't notice or am too lazy to edit a post ;) If it's just a manner of checking one box in the forum administration menu, I'd be glad if it would be changed, if not I'll just have to be more careful when writing posts in the future 8)

It's an very old call, unfortunately there isn't any box to check for this. It's just SMF's way to place links, they say if you want them different so make them different while posting.
