Hi all,
Just wanted to point you to several write-ups of a number of games my brother and I managed to fit in over the Bank Holiday Weekend along with some of the miniatures he's managed to get painted over the past couple of days.
We had a great weekend and the ruleset we have in development appear to do everything we wanted them to do and give a slick, flowing game with sufficient tactical depth to keep up entertained for around 6 games over 2 days.
I've included a piccie to tempt you in:

And the Linky: http://infrequentwargamer.blogspot.co.uk/
As this is a new venture in development I've started a new blog to chat about the rules, miniatures and artwork which will be coming up over the next few months. Not much more than a little welcome at the moment but I'll be posting more stuff when I get the chance to sit down and sort through some jumbled thoughts.

Please follow the blogs, add comments, prod me with ideas etc.
All the best G

Sounds like a fun game. The figures are nicely painted too, thanks for sharing!

Are the Greeks Bronze Age Minis? I think I recognize a few sculpts there... Painting up a pile of those myself, to fill in as heroes in my Trojan War stuff.
When you say the Redoubt archers are small, compared to what? I've got BTD and Foundry Trojan stuff, and the BTD is considerably bigger. I was hoping Redoubt was the solution, but now... ???

No worry Chris: The Redoubt Trojan War figures are as large (in some "heroic" cases larger) as the BTD, range. A few of the Old Glory Trojan War range are also approaching this size while some are same as the Foundry. All mixed together in similar numbers the 4 ranges work well together....I have many, many, many of them! The Wargames Foundry Numidians also make excellent Trojan War light spearmen/javelin skirmishers.
Don't forget the Sea Peoples ranges too.

Nice looking figures.
Look forward to following your progress.
Great looking terrain, any hints about how you made it. Thanks.

Lovely website and game. Thank you!

Miniatures wise we're using a real mixture, the Heroes are generally from Bronze Age, the Athenian warriors are Wargames Factory Armoured Greeks and the Minoan Warriors part Wargames Factory Greeks and part Zulus for the bare chests. Centaurs are from Foundry, Minotaur from Otherworld, archers and Snake Priestess from Redoubt and I'e some GW Ungor as Satyr.
The Redoubt are small in comparison to the Bronze Age minis or Wargames Factory, both of these ranges are more like 32mm Minis.
The terrain was actually built for out last pulp adventure during a switch over from gridded terrain to normal open terrain. The rocks are all Upholstery foam using this process: http://members.westnet.com.au/mjbd/html/foam_rocks_-_frocks.html
The Mat is from Zuzzy, it was supposed to be a wasteland but I game it a more sandy colour to suit my terrain. Other than that it's a lot of flock, gravel, silfor tufts and matting for the taller bushes.
Thanks all for reading.

Great looking stuff! Those Wargames Factory figures are looking better and better the more I see them.
By the way, the Wargames Factory Orc set contains a double-headed axe that might be in the style you are looking for for your Minoans...
