I saw this too a couple of days ago.
I also saw a late night documentary about Bela Lugosi a few weeks back which had segment about the beliefs of the area where he was raised. lol
It was quite surprising. They had footage from the early 1900's with the common folk carrying out burials that included various rites to prevent the dead'uns from rising from the grave.
And to think that this was part of Lugosi's upbringing. :?

I'll have to look around, at least, on Netflix. There's enough weird and obscure on there that I have a shot.
*shrug* Obviously, there are are plenty of folk who found it 'normal'.
