A preview of the Russian forces for Dystopian Wars:

As I'm a great fan of the Tsar Tank (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=42303.msg493433#msg493433) I'm actually a bit miffed that they didn't use it as an inspiration more than they did - really only the Tyumens have even remotely the same feel :'(

I don't really care for the land units, but I love the "Samovar Ironclad" style of the ships, and the Tsiolkovsky rocketship bombers. I'll surely get a fleet box of those.

My only major gripe is the star iconography. Russian wasn't always Communist goddammit! >:(

I'm not into DW but isn't the Kursk class a little bit anachronistic? ???

They apply quite a lot of WW1 and WW2 concepts to "their" 1870, so it's just another example of them mixing variouts concepts, I guess. Sure, naming their second largest land unit (assuming they will get a mobile airfield as well) thusly is not exactly innovative, but at least it will improve recognition.
I'm still waiting for "Potemkin" making an appearance. Possibly the naval dreadnought.
