A while back I started on a zombie board and I thought it was fine and all but it was actually really really terrible. Alot of my measurements were off, I didn't plan to well and I tried to cram as much cool stuff onto the board as possible that it just became a mish mosh of crap.
So I have effectively killed the project and am starting from scratch witch is why I have created a new thread. My biggest mistake in the last one was trying to put as much stuff on the board as possible to have a load of variety but it just didn't work and It ended up being a pretty dum set up so this time instead of creating 1 zombie board I will create about 3. They will all be 6x4 ft tables possibly 8x4 if need be and each will be a different theme.
Board 1 is going to start off urban and will be much like the origional board except new and Improved. It will feature bigger terrain pieces than the origional board and the roads will be wider.
Board 2 will be docklands. It will have the dual purpose of being zombie and modern so that you can fight in massive shipping crate yard with aliens and what not.
I am undecided on Board 3 but Im thinking country or city outskirts with much opener spaces.
My zombie horde is also getting a big boost as Im gonna start ordering zombies like crazy but for those of you that don't know. Do not get Wargames Factory zeds, they are horrible and do not even get them as bulking out figures.
My zombie ruleset that I have been is Akula's rules but Im gonna purchase ATZ and any other zombie rules I come across. Anyway thats pretty much it Im looking forward to what Im gonna be able to do over the holdidays but Im pretty dissapointed that my last attempt failed

Good luck mate you need to plan well and execute effectively, build themed boards and add new ideas, as you've found out trying to ram everything onto one board doesn't work. Take a look at my Thread if it can be of any help.
Again good luck, with all the 'zombie' canabalisitic attacks in the states, your board will be good practice for when the apocalyspe truely starts!

I also like the idea of 2x2 boards, which can be rotated, and mixed/matched to create a nearly endless number of possibilities. Always something to consider. Sounds like fun though, please post pics when you get it started. I'm more interested in pictures of the how-to than the end product. I'm always on the prowl for ideas to steal!
