Another model for my upcoming Gear Krieg book:

Modelling Notes: The Char B Tesla is a very simple conversion. A Forged in Battle Char B 15mm tank with a Tesla cannon from DP9. The turret ring had to be raised (I added a plastic ring of similar radius) to enable rotation of the turret. Done!

Would have put the Coil in the hull myself. Looks cool though!

That's a lovely wee model and superb paint job!

Shouldn't the Tesla be hull mounted?

Shouldn't the Tesla be hull mounted?
??? Why so?
I toyed also with the idea, but it looked too low and menacing.
The only already established French Tesla tank (the Grognard land-ship) also has the Tesla Gun turret mounted.

Splendid - and the turret mount is absolutely fine. When did everyone get so fixed in their ideas?

I am really interested in the reasoning behind the hull mounted gun, as said - I was thinking initially the same line of thoughts.
For the Churchill I did it:

Lovely output of mad creativity there Agis.

Great work as always, Agis... but I guess the French must have fielded this super weapon quite early in the war if it's not wearing German markings... As war booty goes, this would sure bet a bunch of Lorraine Schleppers.

I confess I would have gone for the hull casemate myself, mainly for the "historical" reason that the turret and the turret ring wuld have been too small to accommodate a large gun (historic precedent e.g. the original B1, the M3 "Lee/Grant", and an early Churchill, IIRC).
Also, for purely aesthetic reasons (the apparatus could be rather compact on the inside, for what it is worth), the proportions on the model look just a bit off. A slightly smaller antenna might have fitted the turret better. The overall execution and painting is beyond reproach, as usual.
