seconded, fantastic work! would really like to know how to make that great gondola
-
The Zep was built for me by Black Knight Studios here in the UK based on a design I saw on www.historicalhobbies.com but the link I have is no longer active. It's a scratch built gondala constructed from plasticard and the balloon is from an old Lego set.
These are the only pics of construction I have I'm afraid.

LAF BOYZ ! You must see this gallery !
Uti long smile, you have the most impressive pics of minis collection i've ever seen, after the Prof of course.
It's a shame they are not better presented, particularly the Battle
boards, but thank you very much to share them

Cheers Matou. Much of this has been inspired by Grimm and the Prof's work (imitation is a form of flattery allegedly).
Apologies on the quality\presentation of the photos, I should really invest in some lights and proper backdrops.
-
Matou
Sorry, the armed apes are Lance and Laser Baboons (originally sculpted by Bob Murch I think)

Shame on me & my bad english  and please, stop your apologies : mea culpa.
I didn't want to critisize the quality of your pics at all, I just try to say they deserve a kind of blog or website of their own, cause they're really worth looking.
Thanks for the baboons' link : I don't know them and they're great.
meow,
Matt

Every time I fight the urge to do pulp someone comes up with more Mini porn! This is by far the best Forum around!
-
Nice mini's, zepplin wow. 8) Where did you get the large gorilla?
-
Matou - no problem at all - but I really should invest in some lights! :)
The Giant Ape is from Reaper (Reaper Miniatures #3052, Kabaka, Ape Lord) and he's huge!

Fantastic scenery and a great Doctor Who collection there.
The Cybermen Invasion looks brilliant.
-
Uti Long Smile - Where have you been hiding :o :?: That is a fantastic collection :D
Everything there is stunning, amazing stuff :)

Oh, that's a bit of a nuisance. They are on my "must-have" list, but I was hoping they would be a doddle to make. So far all my Heresy figures ave been simple one or two piece models. I just finished making Hasslefree's "Big Boris" [ in charging mode] and that took literally hours of work to put together, so the waspies are going to be fun.... :(
On a happier note, it's great to see Bernard Bresslaw [as " Bungdit Din"] & Babs Windsor appearing here. :D
I had plans to do an Afghan tribe called the Bhurpas, with Bungdit Din as their leader & the Kharzi as their secret backer, but I haven't got around to painting the figures yet. Must get onto it! I already have Marshall P Nutt as a Town Marshal in my Western collection
There are still plenty of Carry On stars available of course - I'm surprised no-one has used Hattie Jacques yet
Oops - apologies for losing the plot here - the pics are really impressive
I recognise the Dr Who from the DWMG yahoo group :)
-
Yeah, those Waspquitoes are rather painful to assemble, I've had one failed try already. The Heresy webstore itself even warns buyers about it.
-
Cheers Malamute - I've been lurking around for years and building up the ranges - inspired by Alex, Grimm (you may spot some of his jungle trees in there somewhere) and Agis amongst others. Finally got a decent camera, but didn't really have anywhere to put the pics until someone recently suggested Photobucket. If I had the skills (or time) I'd set up a decent website.
Currently on a Pulp Sci-Fi groove, so expect more of these soon. May take some more pics tomorrow...
And thanks to everyone else for the kind words.
-
Damn, I didn't catch this, and that Photobucket account seems to be empty now. Did I miss something good? :(

who makes the woman zombies
-
Who painted them molls?
-
I Just got my .45 Adventure PDF version, i'm so happy :D  :D
-
Th female zombie in the orange dress is actually an old Vampire that I've had hanging around for years. It may have been from a Shadowrun set or some TSR modern vampires, but couldn't say for sure.
-
Who painted them molls?
It's the picture from the site. No idea who painted them, sorry. :(
-
A range of Pulp, Artizan, Bolt Action and RAFM photos added to the Heroes and Horrors gallery here

More pics added to my Retro Sci-Fi gallery too

What a great looking set!
You cant beat a bit of flash.
At very close up the paint work looks great.. how did you get them close-up shots, what camera do you use?
-
Cheers Muppetman. I use the basic macro setting on a Sony Cybershot DSC W70. Nothing clever just point and click. After some experimenting I've settled on the ISO settings to give me the results I prefer, so no flash just well lit.

Inspired by a TMP post, here are some painted versions of some Jovian Bugmen converted from GW Kroot. Heads from a Moongoose ST mantis.

The new heads work really well & change the whole character of the figures.
Something for me to bear in mind & then forget due to my 5 kilobyte memory :(
-
Agreed. I'm always reminded of Henson Muppets when I look at the Kroot.
The mantis heads (from Mongooses's Starship Troopers) were only 35p around each and I picked up 12 Kroot in sprues for £2.00, so they were a cheap build.

Certainly affordable!
Must remember, must remember errr.....

mongoose has cancelled all their mini lines now tho :(

You might still be able to buy some left-overs, though...?
