Hiya lads,
My painting mojo had gone walkabout for the past month but it came back with a vengeance this morning and I managed to complete four naval officers, a standard bearer and a scout for my naval landing parties for Darkest Africa.
Here they are:

The standard bearer is missing his flag. A top lad from the WD3 forum made a lovely flag for me and I am going to print it and stick it on tomorrow.

Well done! Love the smooth effect you achieved on the uniforms.
What about some close ups?
Cheerio

Very Nice Fanis. Very nice indeed.

Gorgeous :-* :-* :-* Tell me you had started them before this morning. I vaguely remember being able to paint that quickly but alas no more :'(
-
Very nice!
I love those blues. Wonderful shading. :-*

Sweet.
Look forward to seeing how you do the bases.
Then close ups, please.

No no I had started them last month mate! I was just a bit down generally and not in a mood to paint so they languished unloved on the workbench. All I did this morning was finish them.
Ok closeups:

Thank you for the kind words all.

Awesome job! Great looking figures! Wish I could find my Mojo again. I need to paint alot of figures.

That's some very nice work there!
Where did you get the fellow with the very long beard? I don't remember him being in the Copplestone naval officer pack. Is he a Pulp Captains Courageous?

He's a Foundry civvy from their Darkest Africa range mate. Lots of character in that mini.

Very well done, compatriot! :) Beautiful work! :-*
Have I asked you about the varnish you use? The effect is great.
By the way, that flag is spectacular. Hope you don't mind if I nick it as well. :D Does this guy do commission work or did he make this out of the kindness of his heart? :)

I use Windsor & Newton acrylic matt varnish mate. http://www.serresmodels.gr/image/cache/data/VARIOUS/GALERIA%20ACRYLIC%20MATT%20VARNISH%2075ml-500x500.jpg
I will point the lad who made the flag to this thread; no idea if he does commission work or not. He did it as a kind favor for me though.
