The French are not the only ones interested in St. Hubert's. A party of German Soldiers arrive just southwest of town.

BMAP agents Claude, Adelade, and Salina arrive with their escort and begin to search for the missing agents.

They don't get very far when they spot some ghost ahead on the bridge.

The graveyard seems to be haunted as well with the walking dead.

Agent Salina and the Legionaires move into the town but they are attacked by the ghost. They fight with the ghost while agents Claude and Adelade search for the missing agents.

Agent Adelade finds agent Madaline in a house. "Agent Bernard was killed by ghost. I also saw Germans in the Graveyard looking around the crypts. I belive they are trying to release a Vampire that is suppose to be entomed there. We must stop them!" explaines agent Madaline.

The sharp report of German Mausers can be heard from the graveyard as the German soldiers engage their skeletal foes.

The fighting in the village gets ugly qickly. A brave Legionare sucumbs the the icy grip of a ghost.

The Germans continue to fire on the armored undead and bring a few more down.

As if things were not bad enough the howl of an undead beast pierces the air as the creature moves out of the woods near the bridge.
The Germans cheer as they shoot down the final skeleton in a hail of accurate gunfire.
Unfortunately for them that draws the beast at the bridge to investigate the noise.
Not only that but a group of ghost appear out of the woods behind them. It's turning out to be a bad day for the Hun.

Another ghastly howl comes from the woods south of town. St. Hurberts is starting to look like a death trap.

The agents of the BMAP and the brave Legionaires finally banish the ghost they were fighting.
The Germans destroy one ghost straight away but the other two charge.
Smelling a closer target the udead beast who was moving into the grave yard turns back toward the agents.
Agent Madaline shreaks as she spots a vile ghoul across the river to the North.
Dakka! Dakka! Dakka! Agent Calude fires his Browning Automatic Rifle and sends the undead beast back to Hell!

Nice battle report! :) Very cool idea and setting!
What were the stuffed animals on the side-line for?
Who makes that ghoul? Looks like it has tentacle-like arms.

"Sergent komen sie mit!" The leader of the german party heads toward the river leaving half his troops to fight off the ghost.
Agent Madaline regains her composure and calmly shoots the ghoul down with her small revolver. Quite a shot at that distance.
The undead beast from the southern woods starts making it's way across the river.
Dakka! Dakka! Dakka! Pow! Pow! Hauptman Oswald learns it's not always wise to lead from the front as he walks straight into heavy fire from the BMAP agents and Legionaires. He is badly wounded but manages to remain on his feet.
Abandoned by their comrads one of the Germans is slain by a chilling grip.

Another valliant Legionaire falls as the German troopers return fire.
The ghost however claim the life of another German. His ragged screaming can be clearly heard above the fierce fire fight.
Well we had to stop there for the night because it was getting too late. Just a few note.
Please excuse me for using WWII era French Foreign Legion. I don't have any other french troops at the moment and I thought they still looked alright for the game.
The Crypts and the graves were all built yesterday and today by my wife who did and excellent job considering the short time she had. My daughter helped me paint 11 ghost and I painted a further 11 ghouls yesterday and today.
I would like to have done more with the village as well but in light of the other projects I finished at the last minute I had to work with what I had.
Hopefully we will be able to finish this game in the next day or two and I can finish my report.
Comments are welcome. I'm developing a few senerios I may start using for convention games.

I have an 11 year old girl playing is the reason for the stuffed critters.
The Ghoul is an old sculpt I did while working for Doppleganger U.S.A. It's not a good sculpt at all. I was very new to sculpting when I made it. I have a lot of them though so I painted some up for this game rather than buy new ones. The Ghost are also my sculpts from the same job. I don't sulpt anymore though cause I wasn't very good and I didn't enjoy it enough to give up painting.

I really enjoyed that, can't wait for you to finish the game and post the rest of the report. The French were fine, looked just right. 8)

Great game, sounds like a lot of fun :)
-
Absolutely inspiring!
What ruleset did you use for this?
EDIT:
I want my family to get into the hobby, too! How did you manage?

Well I met my wife at a D&D game. She's one of those people who's read Tolkien every year since she could hold up a book. She's an artist and a writer and had already developed her own fantasy world so getting her into minis was just a manner of showing her my own collection.
My daughter was born into a house full of Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Historic based, books, movies, comics ect. so she was doomed to be a geek. She still has her barbie dolls but she's starting to realize playing games with minis can be much more fun.
I'm using my own version of No Limits a free wargame which you can download here.
http://www.wargamesunlimited.com/nolimits/index.html
I also used undead stats from the fantasy version of the same game. You can find those here.

I'm playtesting rules to creat a Pulp adventure skirimish game
for No Limits called "Expedition: Raiders of Lost Tombs". This game was part of my playtesting.
-
You're really into that No Limits-thing! Very nice! I like systems that let you use whatever minis you like 8)
-
The skeletons with their red spears and shields felt a little bit out of place, but I simply love tables full of terrain you can barely see the ground.
-
Yes it's a highly customizable system and very playable. It may have some flaws but the fact that you can build up just about anything for it makes up for that.
I've developed a reasonable system for "character" class models where they get one dodge pool for every 10 points they get in their character build. So if I give them 50 points to spend on their stats they get a 5 dodge pool they can use to turn enemy hits into misses. Critical hits go straight off their wounds though and because it's a D10 system every shot has a 1 in 10 chance getting a critical. They can get a dodge pool back if they don't spend any action points for an entire round but so far people have seemed reluctant to do that. I've set the maximum dodge pool at 6 so even if you have a 100 point character you only get a 6 dodge pool. This makes running head first into a hail of gunfire a bad idea for any character. It has made characters powerful in the game but not invulnerable. Characters also get non combat skills that don't contribute to their combat rateing. I just use the combat rateing to determine appropriate encounter levels rather than set up "equal" forces. I haven't yet developed an advancement system though. I really need to start writing my rules in a more clear fassion. Right now I'm still in early playtesting though.

Those are old minis I got in a trade years ago and haven't bothered to re-paint. My pulp collection is slowly growing but still has gaps so I'm forced to come up with ideas based on the largely fantasy collection I have. Outside of fantasy the only other large collection I have is my Star Wars collection which it not too helpful for Pulp games either. I do however enjoy playing Pulp games in settings other than Egypt, the jungle, or China so a bunch of medieval skeletons roaming an ancient graveyard in France seem just as setting appropriate as a mummy in and Egyptial pyramid. If I ever turn this into a convention game I may change those to unarmed and unarmored skellies but I don't own any at the moment so I went with what I had.
I'm of the thinking that you put as much terrain down as the game system and setting can handle. I know certain types of wargamers we won't mention here (Games Workshop Tournament dudes) seem to enjoy playing over a flat table. They say the terrain gets in the way. I say the smater player will exploit the terrain to their advantage. The smaller the forces, in number of figs, the more terrain you need to make the game interesting.

I'm SO with you, there!! :P

Ok my group finally finished this game sans one player so I should be able to get the pics edited and the rest of the report up later tonight.
