I posted this on frothers and I thought I might as well post it here too, in case anyone of you are thinking of mix and matching gangsters from a few manufacturers. Personally, I like them all!

That's interesting.
I was always under the impression the Dixon line was much smaller than the other lines and wouldn't mix well.
Now I have another entire line of minis to buy.

well, I was surprised at the Dixon cowboys too, they fit good with the Foundry/Artizan. Thanks for pic, FG :)

Cool picture, very interesting. I'm sorry to see the Brigade Games' Gangsters are much smaller. Nevertheless I'm going to buy them ALL sooner or later. Epic gangwars, you know... ;-]
-
to be honest I was quite suprised how big the dixon ones were! Lovely minis anyway, they will look great next to the others when painted!
-
Sure. You could also lower down their cast-on bases. This will bring them 1 - 2 mm closer to the other figures.
-
they are about the same height as copplestone, but look bigger because of the extra chunkiness.
But I was suprised not really because of its actual size but because I expected it to be much smaller since the samurai, wild west and pirate figures that I have were on the small side.

Have you also a picture of the dixon cars ?
-
Useful Pic FG. It looks like the Dixon proportions are not too far off compared to the others.
@Grimm - I emailed Dixon about their car. According to them, their car is closer to 1/48 scale, so it would go better with the 1/43 diecasts. The Dixon car is a common 1920s car - the Willys Knight. But this car unfortunately is very hard to find as a diecast model. The diecasts are only of the luxury or sports models, and it is very hard also to find a normal Ford Model A Sedan in 1/43.

I see that the dixon minis have passenger in there car“s do you think they are compatible to the diecasts cars ?
Also there are rumours abaut Sloppy Jalopy car passenger do you know more ?
cheers grimm

Here are some pictures of the figures squeezed into a few diecast cars. Some will fit, some will require you to take apart the car to get them in, some will require a bit of filing on the figure and some just won't fit.
Here are some that did. Not exactly the iconic mobster's car like the Dixon one though
