I just shipped my rewards to all the kickstarter backers, which means work is full steam ahead on getting the store up and running by the middle of next week (maybe sooner).
I'm spending the day with the camera to get some nice pics, and I just wanted to show some of Soapy's AWESOME work as I can hardly contain myself.

I painted my first one last night and I swear I actually school girl giggled once while painting!

Looking very good. Can't wait to see some painted samples.
-
blimey, they look very good :-* ;D
-
Absolutely Excellent!
-
These are great. As a minor niggle for me, I would have preferred to see head variants on the third set to stop them looking like automatons but as I say, very minor.
Never thought I would say this but I may just be doing a supers project before too long.
-
They are superb! :o
Are the heads separate? I can see them working for modern spy-fi games, as well as supers.
And like Svennn, I may have an unplanned supers project in my future!
Great work from Soapy!!
-
@Earther,
yes, the heads are indeed seperate, my understanding is that backers get all three heads, otherwise custimers get a choice when ordering,

That's part of the Crossover! They are first and foremost inspired by comics and super stereo types, but they cross the line into other genre easily. Great guards for that warehouse that looks dubious, or great for a police/federal presence. I can't wait to see what folks come up with!
Hearing folks talk about future unplanned super projects can only make Soapy and I smile!
Supers will come with all three heads (logistically it would have been a nightmare for me. I am still deciding weather the minions will or not. Maybe to keep the price down for customers, I might let the punters choose a head. One of the last decisions to make before the store opens.

These are fantastic. I want them badly. Especially the masked versions.
-
Great Scot!
Fantastic miniatures!!!
-
HAIL HYDRA!!!! XD
Very good miniatures, i´d like to see a comparission with other miniatures o heroclix characters
-
Those are superb, lot's of uses :D Look forward to the webshop being open
-
Looks like a great set to bolster your HYDRA or SHIELD troops!
Great stuff,
Brian

Wow, those are great sculpts. I don't play a superhero game, but like mentioned, these could fit many themes. I really like the weaponry.
-
Nice stuff I could use some of these.

Here's a leader type. Not all minions will have them, but this group needed one for versatility. He could also serve as a Super if you don't have loads of the minions running around painted the same.

Here's a nice guard to go with the rest of the boys, he hasn't been listed in the store yet

To answer the scale question earlier

and because I can't help myself, Here is an I.R.S. Agent, the International Revolution Society is a nemesis to many Super Heroes and the I.R.S. Agents fill out the ranks of the Evil Doers plans.

I'm going to add two more things to the store, then make a few 'package' deals, then it should be ready for business. I'm looking at maybe Wed, July 18 at the latest. If I get a chance to have a better whack at it, then earlier. BUT I don't want to rush it.
-
Superb! really glad i backed this project, i've had notification my minis shipped, so i'm eagerly looking out for the posty every morning 8-)
regards
jim

Very cool paintjobs.
-
Looking forward to the store opening, you have some great prices and will no doubt be a customer at some point!
-
With the hat heads, it would make really nice james bond-like troopers too !
-
Received my figures this morning- they're fantastic. I'm going to struggle to decide what head and color scheme to use- I may have to buy multiple minion sets so I can use all the heads :)
Very cool, and well done on the sculpting, marketing, and casting!

Sunday Hero, I struggled with whether to go with a hard hat or the ball cap. In the end I choose the ball cap as the hard hat definitely says Bond Villains, but eh ball cap says Bond Villains AND security forces AND cops AND...
I'm glad someone noticed that aspect though, it let's me know I'm on the right track.

I can't wait to see the Lead Painter's League champ put some paint on these babies! Glad you like them!!

How do they scale with Hasslefree minis? looking for special forces types for my zombie games. hope it's fairly close...love the style to these minis :o
-
Can anyone else help him out? I don't own any Hasslefree, yet. I love the Aron figure and want to pick him up soon.
I know what you are saying Grimrod, I just finished the four basic goons, two guards, and a leader in IRS heads and I can't wait to paint the next batch in a different head!

Sadly, Im at work now (Monday morning), but I can come up with a picture of Hasslefree vs X-Over for you tonight. I think X-Over will be a little bigger (Hasslefree always seems a little small to me (?) ) but Im pretty sure they will be darn close.

The major thing that people forget is that we come in a variety of sizes and shapes, so to me if the scale is close enough I don't stress about it.

Yeah, I meant to say that in my post, but I forgot....they are all right around the same size. Im sure they will be a perfect fit.

Just got them in the mail...and they look better in person :-*, And Fergal...I have the Hasslefree Aaron(Kick Ass)...He scales Beautifully with the minions
-
Fantastic! Glad they arrived safe and sound. It still makes me nervous to ship in bubble mailers, but it keeps the costs down. Stoked that you like them! Now stop posting and get painting!!
-
Nobody's posted a pic of the minions in ball caps, so here is my WIP of some security types.

I think they look quite nice as some hired hands.
