I read about this archive on the BBC World News website the other day, and noticed that many of the photos would also be of interest with respect to Back of Beyond gaming:

I'm just flipping through the Swires collection right now, and it's an absolute treasure trove of inspiration for inter-war China scenery for pulp or BoB use!
